phew! For a second there I was worried, but good old Lubuntu pulled through for the win! 🏆

This is why I love XFCE, this is the best trade-offs between good looking, resource consuming and performance

My SSD takes 10s to load Ubuntu, imagine just how fast these Ubuntu flavours would be then

Love LXDE/LXQt, One of the lightest desktops ever, Less ram required :), Less processing required ;), Great for gaming :D.

I have Lubuntu 16.04 running on a 2008 Acer Aspire One 32bit so with an Atom processor and only 512Mb ram.
It may be getting on in years and it's slow but it's still sure.
It wasn't able to upload 18.04.

KDE is without a doubt my favorite desktop enviroment, out of the box it already looks great, and it has so much utility for customizations.

Wow, my core 2 duo laptop boots Ubuntu so much quicker than that. But it does have a SSD in place of it's dead HDD.

I have used Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu and Kubuntu. L and X is lightwight but very outdated, Ubuntu is modern but too heavy, Kubuntu is beautiful and lightweight as well. I know that X and L is fast but I really do not want to use a pc with 90's ui.
