Nice! You should make the difference between distros too and it should become an interesting video.

In my case, Windows boots almost instantly after entering the password

You should have checked ram usage with atleast 5 tabs open in chrome.

windows doesn't necessarily need that much ram, those are just extra according to how you use your computer
it predicts what you'll do next so that the program you try to open opens quicker
windows will run on much lower ram on systems with lower ram

Not biased at all.

If you won't believe this comparison, see it for yourself.

Ubuntu > W11 anytime.

I think you have enabled fast boot in windows, thats why it booted that fast, and because ubuntu doesnt have any alternative to FastBoot, so ubuntu is cold booting, so its slower.

In my case, my laptop (running on windows) works flawlessly when on AC, however it shows some lag once on battery. I have been helpless and may have to resort to ubuntu for a better user experience

1:25 Perhaps when Ubuntu reaches the login screen, it has already loaded most of the OS, whereas in Windows, when you reach the login screen, the OS isn't ready yet. This would explain why Windows won the first test. Not sure, just a guess

Comparing Windoes fastboot with Linux is not fair. It's never fully off...

2.3 Gb ram at the start is not very good. Because Custom Windows 10 brings it down to 1.7gb without sacrificing anything that user uses.

So Ubuntu is good lightweight os for mini pc..

Yea, your Windows should take that long from login to full bootup. Mine doesn't take nearly that long. Yes, Windows does use more memory at startup, but not always a bad thing depending on what is loading up. Windows takes the philopshy that unused ram is wasted ram while ubuntu in general doesn't. If you cut Windows down to 2gb of Ram (and yes 11 will boot with 2gb of ram), you'll see Windows taking up far less on startup.

Coba deh linux mint, ubuntu, fedora, opensuse, windows 10/11, diuji. Karena mungkin yang paling dicari orang ya 4 distro besar linux itu.

Turn off fastboot to make it fair.
It doesn't turn the computer off, it just hibernates, which linux can do too.

Try with 4gb opening firefox then youtube. you will then know that linux is now bloated.
