Should you train with an injury?

What if the doctor says you need to have 6 months of bed rest and you should never lift weights again?

Well, i’m not a doctor, but advice like that is kinda outdated.

I think a good rule of thumb is that movement is recovery. If you’re so sore that all you can manage is a brief walk, then that’s what you should do.

Alternatively, I think continuing to train with lighter weight is consistently the best recovery tool. You’d be amazed at how effective light training is for improving pain. And that’s what I’d suggest if someone asked:
