People who don't want to be leaders are usually the people who make the best leaders.

Edit: This is just an observation that's been made by many people in the past, you guys are taking it TOO LITERALLY. The saying ISN'T "the best leaders are the people that want zero responsibilities and who lack any intelligence, logic, courage, skills, or morals." The saying isn't the people who are unqualified to be leaders make the best leaders. There are many versions of the saying "The people you want to lead are the ones that are most resistant to being leaders", "The greatest leaders are reluctant ones who lead because they realize that no one else seems willing to step up", "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them". If you can use critical thinking skills you can understand it's not about just not wanting the position, it's that sometimes people become leaders because they feel a sense of responsibility, obligation, or duty. They aren't being leaders because they're so narcissistic or egotistical they think they can do it better than everyone else, they aren't becoming leaders because they are greedy and want power over other people, they aren't becoming leaders because they feel like they deserve to be in charge. Would you rather have someone who's selfish, narcissistic, and greedy be a leader, or someone who is doing it because they believe they have the required skills and abilities to be a good leader. Id say a lot of people who are actually good leaders never want to become leaders because they're smart enough to understand the true scope of responsibility and effort they must put in to be a successful leader and not many people want to put in 200% effort if they don't have to. Yet when those people do become leaders they end up being great ones because they understand what they need to do and they do it for the greater good of everyone. To think that this isn't a real thing is just naive and based on ignorance, OBVIOUSLY it's not the case every time and nowhere did I say this is true every time.

Sounds like Villeneuve was able to convey the message Frank Herbert wrote years ago.

Glad to see Frank Herbert's dreams have finally been realized. It's not just a story, it's a warning.

This is simply a bit of narcissism, very common today.

Genuine response and criticism of this video:
He’s right but for all the wrong reasons, and is extremely narcissistic. This guy has never given more then a surface level take on any current events and yet has a massive following for “saying the quiet part out loud”. He’s saying this like he has the perspective of “oh man, I hold so much power!! what if I lead people down the wrong path?!?”, as if he is going to shake up the establishment in some kind of irreversible way that causes unrest for society while leading people towards “greener pastures”. The irony of people’s perception of Dune is that people think Paul is some kind of hero, when he’s really the villain. I’m not necessarily saying this guy thinks he’s the hero, as I don’t know how much he actually identifies with Paul, but my point is that if he is reflective of how his actions can change society, but continues to publish the same type of content that he has been, then I think it’s safe to say he’s missing the point of the franchise. Messiah figures are dangerous, and with a name like anti.prophet, it’s kind of on the nose.

Bonus point: If you unironically use the words “Woke” & “Snowflake” like this guy has, you’re probably less informed or intelligent than you think you are.

A guy egotistical enough to think he has the power to change millions of people’s opinions. I love it
