My 9 week training program will give you that line down your chest! Find it here 👉🏼 dylansprogram.com

Included in this program is the exact training model I used to propel myself from a scrawny hardgainer to a successful fitness influencer and natural bodybuilding competitor within just a couple years.

Dylan bro, you just said there is no such thing as inner chest and then explained how to do the excercise for the thing you just said doesnt exist.

Has us in the first half, then didn’t, then had us at the end lol
No way you Dan develop an “inner” chest
It’s all about in your upper chest.

Trash exercise for ‘inner chest’ there’s no inner chest you can only target upper mid and lower

Nah just do incline press much more easier to progressive overload

Rofl, Sean Nalewany just made a video that rated this excercise as almost useless since you cannot overload as much as a bench press, i believe Sean because it makes sense…

Chest fibres run from out to in (or in to out). You can only target certain fibres, not certain parts of fibres. Therefore there is no way of training your inner chest.

Best way to have 'that defining line' is to train the chest through full range of motion and losing fat

The only reason you feel this so much in the inner section of your chest, is because you're training it in the shortened position. Stop this kind of BS and do Barbell press, Dumbbell press, Flyes and Machine press - that is basically all you need.

This actually makes a lot of sense, since there's no inner chest, this exercise leads to no gains.

Honestly it's disappointing most of your shorts are full of misinformation.

There are many lifters (myself included) who don't have pec insertions close enough to "have defined inner chest". Surely, your chest will get bigger after doing this exercise (that has no advantages over incline press etc.) and your left and right pecs will become more separated, but you should have adressed pec insertions genetics in this video.

this is bullshit, inner chest is not a thing

I remember Dylan mentioning this last year and I starting implementing into my chest training, and sure enough after about 6 months my upper chest is significantly more developed

0:11 "inner chest doesn't exist and there's really no way you can target it..."
0:22 "so here's what I do to target my inner chest..."

wtf?

People hate on this video and then insist on doing hex press 😂 my theory is that while it’s impossible to hit middle chest, exercises like this force u to fully squeeze your chest at the top of the rep giving the feeling that your mid chest is working. I’d say that it’s good for beginners and helps develop mind muscle connection but beyond that it’s not an ideal movement.

Google an image of the pectoral muscle fibers and you will understand why targeting the inner chest is impossible. The fibers run across the entire width of the pec

u said it yourself you cant target the inner chest therefore this is useless aha

I did these thinking my front delts will grow, but instead my inner chest grew significantly.

There is no way to emphasize the inner chest. The fibers of the chest run the entire width of your pec. The only reason why you might feel the inner pec more doing this is because you’re training in a shortened position.

If your inner chest looks disproportional to you, it’s because your entire chest is underdeveloped, the top or bottom is underdeveloped, or you just have a gap there due to your genetic muscle insertions. That’s it.

Anyone who says this is impossible, im sorry you have no mind-muscle connection. You can totally choose to do exercises that do a better job of recruiting the muscle fibers towards the middle of your chest. If you think the direction of your exercise doesn't matter you are wrong. Its kinda like any other muscle group... can you expect to get a full contraction with half reps? of course not, and your muscles will actually adapt to doing the excercise wrong if you do it enough. So what if we take that concept, and do extra sets straining the muscle in a slightly new direction? maybe one the muscle has never done before? OF COURSE your muscles will respond and grow to optimize your performance for that lift. There doesnt have to be an "inner chest" to target it. Its called working your muscle at different angles.
