Who is still struggling to get fluid kicks at head level?
I truly believe you CAN kick high. Just remember to work proper technique, build hip strength and use proper stretches daily.

I am 61 and have been doing Muay Thai for about 3 years. I could never kick above waist level with my round kicks. Your techniques in this video helped me kick to neck level with good form for the first time. Thank you very much.

People would pay for this kind of advice, and yet you give it for free. You're pure gold, Gabriel.

Man, today is my first day. I'm committed to doing this. I was 285 lbs. Now, I'm 187. I am looking to be 150-155. You have no idea how much you've helped me. God bless and thank you.

Just a couple of weeks ago I started doing splits to improve my kick height, but I was unsure about how to go on improving, so I'm gonna implement all these techniques on my training starting today. Thank you Gabriel!

Wtf Gabriel. I just focused on letting the shoulder come forward and now i can immediately head kick without falling over. This is insane.

I've been practicing kickboxing for 2 years and a little bit, I started late at 35 years old. No one there teaches me these things that I see with you and I can train outside the gym to be much stronger in it.Thank you!

54 years old...in my younger, scrappy days, I was SO LIMBER!!! Could kick people in the head all day long, splits of all kinds, constantly throwing my legs up and stretching at all times...
Then I got married and fat and unhealthy. After health forced me to go back to working out after seemingly 100 years, I went for boxing...great way to lose weight and get in shape...
BUT...boxing for 10 years now...completely lost my kicking ability. Been trying to get it back and this video will help...THANK YOU!

I work shirts and dont always get to attend the Muay Thai classes and have to train by myself. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to make these videos available for us.

Much love from Finland !

I've only just started martial arts training, so this comes at a perfect time. Thanks.

Also you are right. A quick short session is a lot more realistic if you're busy with tons of other day to day things.

The timing of this video is impeccable. Drilled kicking techniques in my kickboxing class today but left still feeling like there’s so much to improve on. Would love to see that long video for opening up the hips, building mobility from hips and kicking techniques. Will continue to use this video to improve my high kicks! Thanks so much for your explanations Gabriel! Been doing your abs drill daily and have seen so many improvements in strength and overall form in class.

I couldn’t do a high kick. Until I realized that pivoting is not just your heal or your foot. YOU’RE MOVING THE ENTIRE LEG. *maybe that’s obvious idrk I’m self taught for now so* So a pivot is actually just that twist of the support leg. Anyway. I can do high kicks now. Cheerio.

Thanks so much for this video. My hip flexibility and strength - really my whole lower body mobility - is my biggest fitness weakpoint. I am going to start doing these exercises today!

I started doing some of those hip openers just incidentally with some yoga practice and they really do get to the root of the problem, at least for me. I do a lot of sitting both as a student and now working. Both internal and external rotation of the hip gets so limited because the hip joint itself is like a rock. If you're a runner, you build this in when you run. The activity drives that tightness because it promotes stability of the leg when you're very tired. But that also means that if we're going to loosen all of that up, you really do need strong legs and glutes supporting the joints. This specific movements are fantastic and really do help! 2nd degree TKD black belt here.

As a M.A guy, (not professional), I want wholeheartedly thank you for this video. I tried a lot of stretching, kicking drills etc. But still could not kick head level for prolonged times. I am so going to train in this method. Thank you again.
