Hey guys, this one is just for fun to be honest, most of my videos are for educational purposes but this one is more just a fun one that gets you thinking. Billionaires are such outliers that there isn't a set, step by step way to get there. A lot of it has to do with luck and a bunch of other things but it's still fun to look into this stuff and check it out, even though it probably won't help you much in making your decisions. But without further adieu, check out college degrees that create the most billionaires

Well. I gotta give Mathematics credit for having quite a few billionaires. It’s such a hated subject, nice to see some results.

But the finance and the Economics sector is broad most engineers and mathematians almost end up in the Economics and finance sector.
And most Engineers are entrepreneurs so they end up investing in the financial sector.

So is not surprising that engineering is 2nd of the list.

Keep it up Shane Hummu for your great videos

Am going to college this year to offer material engineering 😁

I can definitely see why mathematics boosts such a high spot on the list! Math is interrelated with so many different fields that a thorough understanding of it can easily contribute to success! Great stuff Shane

Just thought I'd get your opinion on my degree. I'm studying Engineering Science, which sounds like a bit of a budget Engineering degree, but in reality it is just computational engineering and continuum mechanics. Basically we use maths, computer programmes/software and coding to model situations. Pretty much using computers to solve problems that are too hard to solve using other techniques. You have gone over more common engineering degrees, but just wanted to see what you think about this kind of skill set (computer science, applied mathematics, physics and statistics).

Huh, that is interesting. My first major (mathematics) is number 4, and my second major (astrophysics) is kinda close to number 10. I'm pretty sure that I won't be so lucky or brilliant enough to become a billionaire, but hey, one can dream. 😄

Woah...a lot of these are a surprise. Never would've expected most of them. Interesting!

Can you make a video about information on philosophy and english and all the possible career options in these two?

Tbh, the liberal arts degrees didn't surprise me much. If you are very on top of your knowledge, the world is your oyster. I am a little surprised any form of Art didn't get on the list, but that might be because a lot of successful art people may not have gone to college. Most artists have to be entrepreneurs as the market is so competitive and you clearly don't make money without going to the market. I guess artists, and athletes for that matter as well, don't usually make a billion dollars without finance or making other companies with their millions.

They made an updated list of the most common undergraduate majors for the Forbes 400 in October 2021. They have an article and a YouTube video on it, but they could only verify educational background information for 357 of them.

65 - Business
58 - Economics
55 - Engineering
22 - Politics and Government
18 - Math
17 - Computer Science

So far I can't find any info on the next most common majors after the first 6.

I'm confused between choosing economics /finance and computer science... I have equal interest in both these fields but unfortunately I can't double major or.. have a combination like a major and a minor where I live ...
I'm at a great loss!
