CDA Parasail staff save child from kidnapping attempt

Staff from Coeur d'Alene Parasail stepped in to help a 10-year-old boy escape from an attempted child enticement incident. Surveillance video shows a man approaching the Couer d'Alene Parasail booth with a child. According to the Coeur d'Alene Police Department, the victim approached several employees at CDA Parasail and told them a man tried to get him into one of the nearby boats.

Anyone who legit attempts to kidnap a kid should absolutely never see the light of day again. They're too dangerous to be let out ever.

Good thing the boy got help when he wasn't expecting it. Watching this video gives me chills not only because of the situation itself, but because as a child, I was also on the verge of being kidnapped under similar circumstances. If it weren't for two adults who happened to be witnesses, I might not even be alive today.

When a kid gets behind you and says “that’s not my dad and I don’t know him”, that is not a “gut feeling”. Cmon man, that’s a direct plea for help.

Another critical message: Encourage children to trust their instincts. This child saved himself form a horrific fate, and potentially saved other children by telling an adult when he sensed danger and asking for help.

The child did EXACTLY the right thing. Kudos to this kid for not bring silent. It wasn't just a "gut feeling", the boy spoke up and said loud and clear "This isn't my dad." and thank goodness he was heard.

Honestly I didn't know that "child enticement" was a crime but I'm really glad it is. Whether it's a full-blown attempt or just flirting with an attempt, kidnapping should be punished equally all around. I'm sure the guys in prison would LOVE to have a ChoMo in their unit...
