Are you afraid of tearing during labor? This is a very common concern and sounds painful. Trust me, I get it.

What if I told you that there are many ways you can prevent tearing during birth with a few simple tips that you can practice during pregnancy?

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’ll know I don’t believe that pushing should be done on your back. It’s a less than ideal position to push in and increases your risk of tearing.

When we can pair an optional position with controlled intentional breathing and the fetal ejection reflex in labor, we get a much easier and efficient stage 2.

I often hear so many women afraid of pushing and tearing but if we can educate and prepare ourselves to reduce the risk of that through simple solutions like moving our body and proper breathing, we can avoid many of our concerns.

@remimartinii was one of my doula clients and achieved her #vbac in under 12 hours with less than ten minutes of pushing 🙌🏽. She was able to use her breathing and position changes to help her baby boy come earthside smoothly. So so proud of you, mama!

My husband started massaging my perineum (with a special massage oil designed for this purpose) every night when I was 34 weeks pregnant. I only pushed for 12 minutes and didn't tear at all. I've recommended this to all my pregnant friends and a few already gave birth without tearing.

Believe me I screamed coz of the energy I needed to put in while pushing but I only pushed during contractions and my child's head was 36cm at birth and I didn't tear I didn't even know what to do during labour or how to push but thanx to the doctors they explained everything to me

I truly believe this because with 3 boys natural birth breathing helps I had no complications or cut or tearing

Breathing and positioning I don’t think we should be on our backs while giving birth.

I tore really bad, I had a 3rd degree laceration and I drank the raspberry tea because people said it should help but I think I started it too late

is seeing a chiropractor part of insurance? or is it something you have to seek out and pay per visit? would love to see one after watching your video.

Size of baby's head matters. I had a 10 lb. baby and her head was big.
