I think just most of your fanbase has grown in age compared to a lot of the "newgen" minecraft youtubers. So most of us dont mind not having like daily or even weekly videos.

Cap, I actually really like that you didn't settle down on just Minecraft. Skater/biker sparklez was iconic, and while people know you as the Minecraft music guy, you're also the car guy.

The personality here was what's kept me around

To be honest I didn't even realize Captain hadn't posted on this channel, just been binging the second channel

I think the main thing about caring less about infrequent uploads is that there's just so much more content to watch, and viewers can fill the gap on their own

would absolutely love more YouTube/life retrospectives like this!! been actively watching for 13+ years, and you're one of the main reasons I started YouTube, so I found a lot of value in this vid :-)

It's weird to say this, but I quite literally grew up watching you. I was twelve years old when I first started watching your videos, curled up on the couch with a Kindle Fire in my lap just hungry to watch other people play Minecraft until I could get my own little hands on it. Oh, how times have changed since then. Now I'm twenty three, living on my own and far removed from the obsession with a silly block game that helped shape me into who I am today. I have a million other things I could (and probably should) be doing, but I always find myself coming back here just to see how you're doing. There's a simple sense of comfort in coming back and knowing that I wasn't the only one growing up, seeing you change and seeing comments that echo sentiments very similar to mine.

To suffice it all, thank you. For all of the fun content and catchy songs that I still occasionally go back and listen to. For being consistently positive and entertaining. And for being one of the realest people on this platform in recent years. It's a nice change of pace. I hope you're doing well when the camera's off and living your life.

A lot of what you said resonated very strongly. Especially the part about worrying about locking into a particular game or niche and worrying about how others view you. It's something I've struggled with quite a bit, glad to see I'm not alone in feeling that way.

Thanks for being the GOAT 💜

It’s insane that you are still mentally alright doing one game for content for over a decade. The burnout couldn’t be more extreme. I get burnt out after 20-30 vids on one game. It’s why i don’t do it because for a majority of Youtubers who isn’t a special case scenario of fame, the channels always die out and the game the channel is known for losing a ince large interest and so on.
Anyway. I still remember the exact day your viva lavida minecraft music video parody released. Seeing it was that long ago already blows my mind. I was a literal pre-teen child.

I'm sure they're not always easy to do given the topics, but I genuinely always love these introspective videos from you.

Honestly, if you struggle with collabs, don't care about uploading frequently, and want to focus on livestreams, getting invited to Hermitcraft seems like the best possible opportunity for you. You already know Iskall very well, you've played with others like False, Scar, and Grian on MCC, you don't have to worry about frequent uploads because there are 27 other hermits, and you wouldn't be the first livestream exclusive Hermitcrafter, if you decided to not post formal videos on the main channel either. You don't really need to be a great builder or redstoner, you just have to be funny and entertaining, which you certainly are.

You will always be my favorite YouTuber. Growing up watching all the music videos, modded series, reviews, bunger games, and Mianites. You will forever be a great part of my childhood and I thank you for that. Through all the phases of Youtubers, the drama, the clout chasing, the trends, you always kept to yourself and never changed yourself for short term gains and it shows. You are the Youtuber I have the most respect for and I also really like your taste in cars so definitely keep collecting! Thanks for all the videos from all 11.4 million of us.

For your anniversary upload you should totally play CoD like your first video on this channel.

Just my two cents, about the home ownership opinion, I used to agree, but now I actually think the opposite. Owning a home is more like a long term investment. Being a renter makes you dependant on the landlord. If you buy a home and decide to move somewhere else later, you can rent the old home to cover the expenses of the new place. As you said, it's a lot more responsibility and maintenance, but having a guaranteed fallback is worth it.

“don’t be me” you are wise, Jardon. It takes a humble soul to air regrets publicly like this. Thank you for being a good role model for people like me (24) and younger folks who watch you today.

I gotta say, I love these new greenscreen monologue videos. I've stuck with this channel since almost the beginning, and I enjoy all of your videos, but this new format is especially refreshing. I love hearing about your perspectives and experiences, challenges and regrets as a full time content creator.

For the record Jordan, as a content creator who does play with other content creators on the reg, ive literally never met a single person who *wouldnt* want to collab with you lol. And not just because of your sub count. Youre a legend!
