Did Toyota make a mistake making the new Toyota Supra with BMW? We get a 700HP heavily modified 2021 Toyota Supra in the shop to find out how well it's holding up.

In this video we check out a sweet 2021 Toyota Supra that's modified and done well. The owner of this Supra really did this one well!

The best part is this car have had these modifications for over 10k miles and has been absolutely reliable. Not to say that this is a reliable car. This goes to say that the current generation Supra has a lot of ties with what made the old one great.

With simple bolt on modifications you can make a lot of power without having to have a complete engine rebuild.

You gotta love it when people do performance mods right. No fluff, no neon, no wierd colors, no rice, just pure functional mods.

Speaking of brakes, Just checked my own, 76, 000 miles on stock brakes, and still at 4.5mm of pad left front and rear and the rotors are in perfect condition. If you drive well, you can save a lot on brakes. Pretty much every used car I ever bought came with completely destroyed pads and rotors and for some reason, brake fluid with lots of moisture. My new cars NEVER have these issues. Bought my sister a 2017 camry, only had 19k miles and already had bad brakes and rotors, but how ever she drove, it only got worse to the point where one of the pads completely sheered off the pad mount, leaving just the clips and calipers. Within 24 hours the rotor was also...toast. How you drive matters so much.

Thank you for great content! Maybe it's that the worlds most highly regarded brand for reliability/longevity contracted with one of the most notoriously unreliable brands that causes heartburn among Toyota nuts. This is a really cool car. I think the 3rd gen that you had is my favorite. I still remember a bloke with a 4th gen who ran with my 500+HP supercharged Mustang around the turn of the century. Fun times.

So back in the 90s I kept begging my father to order a supra through the Toyota program and I kept telling him this car would be worth something one day, at that time he thought I was crazy because he would want to pay $48, 000 for a sports card from Toyota when you have the Corvette and other cars, this was way before fast and furious I remember as a 14-year-old going to the Toyota dealer and they had a Red 95 model at the dealer and I was just mesmerized by its looks.

My BMW X3 M40i has a B58 engine— very reliable (so far). Gas milage is averaging at 23 -25, mpg and yes, can get up to 30 mpg using eco mode — I’m using the car for long trips — 17.5 gallon tank is nice. On order Tesla Y for daily use to “even out” my carbon footprint. Love to buy a Lexus NX 450h+, but local dealers are asking, on average, 8k dealer surcharge, and apparently getting it.

All these haters saying the Supra is ugly. To me, just jealousy. To me, as a car enthusiast, should able to appreciate all types of cars even if it’s not their liking. It’s all about the love, passion, attention to detail and hard work putting into their car. Great job Amd!

Great review AMD. I noticed the video quality (lighting + audio) is great on this video. Well done.

You have the most cleanest workshop I haven't seen, you might as well call it a show room

I have a ‘21 Supra that is completely stock. Love the car, and plan on keeping it.

It's a gorgeous car. Reminds me of a mix between a Z4/3 range and the Corvette (from a UK perspective).

Would you possibly have more to say on the B58 engine? Been hearing that this might be the best engine BMW has created. Would LOVE to see what you have to say about it.

I got rid of my BMW for a Toyota, for a very good reason. I don't have to sink 10k in repair and maintenance for a 4 year old car.

BMW brakes are great. Over 100k miles I replaced pads once and kept the original rotors. My toyota I replaced pads and rotors twice in the same period

I saw a stock one here this summer...a red one...beautiful car but was wrapped around a tree next to the road (obviously didn't make the corner). Still had on his Colorado Temp tags, to see it! (I haven't seen it since.)

He should have hid that license plate...not for the cops, but from the EPA Gestapo! Lol

This thing is wicked as hell. Say what you may. But the engineers at BMW and Toyota designed this B58 to give you as close as possible a 2JZ GTE incarnate. 😳

Love your videos AMD. But I have to say, if someone wants to mod their car a certain way and it doesn't hurt anyone, I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Illinois plates and video showing no catalytic convertors. This owner is going to get a visit from the state...
