Hey friends! Welcome or welcome back. I've been getting some questions on just HOW MUCH it costs to live in Charlotte so I figured I would make this video for anyone interested in possibly relocating or moving here. Below you'll find the links to the other videos I recommended in this video.
Keep in mind, there are many other areas to explore surrounding Charlotte. This is just what we found to be helpful :)

HEY FRIENDS! Now I know I already said this but let me make a disclaimer lol. The areas mentioned are NOT the only nice areas in Charlotte. If y’all want a video on some places for cheap here let me know 😬 These were just the best areas we explored based on our own needs. Ya just gotta do a little research to find what you want.

I know I probably sound repetitive saying how expensive it is but that’s just the reality of it right now 🤷🏾‍♀️
But thanks as always for watching friends ❤️

Being a native Charlottean I cannot believe how right on you are about your evaluation of the neighborhoods you described. You are so right on. Very impressive!

Great job! I truly appreciate the way you relayed this information. Way more objective and honest, from my point of view, than other personal videos I’ve seen about Charlotte. I have been living in Charlotte since 2007. I moved here after a divorce with my son and daughter (very young at the time; now beautiful young adults living on their own). I absolutely love it here. It has been good for my family and me. I can agree with every description you gave about each of these areas in Charlotte, from East Charlotte to Ballantyne. My kids grew up and and attended schools in Southeast/Cotswold/Matthews. I bought and sold my 3-leveled townhouse (off Sardis Road North) at reasonable prices: $102, 000.00 purchasing in 2010 and $112, 000.00 selling in 2018). I would have loved to hold onto it…to get another deal like this again in a good neighborhood in Charlotte would have to be by the power of God! I live in South Charlotte now, renting a 1-bedroom apartment at $1557/month…my mortgage payments for that 3-bedroom townhouse was only $587/month….so now I’m waiting for the market to change to buy again.
Anyhow, I appreciate your honesty about the preference for diversity and that Charlotte is DIVERSE which is why I love it here. I love that you didn’t make it sound segregated and racist as I have seen others do in their videos, leading viewers to reply with a fear of moving to Charlotte. Like you, the only reason I didn’t want to be in Ballantyne is I didn’t want my children to be in such an extreme minority environment; no more than I wanted them to live in Atlanta with it’s extreme lack of diversity, even though we are the majority in most areas there. Charlotte and all it’s surrounding areas offer such a variety of neighborhood preferences from which to choose, it is not impossible to find a location that fits one’s preferences/desires. Again, great job!!! ❤️

Thanks for the content and information. As a person of color myself I wanted someone to give me a man unbiased opinion on NC and think I found that in this vid. Good luck on your move. I’m a single adult and need a new start so I’ll look In to the places you mentioned.

Have you checked out Monroe, NC?
Rock Hill, SC is a great option for someone looking to relocate to the Charlotte area.

Thank you for posting this. We are from Elyria, OH and have been considering Charlotte. The prices were definitely something that makes up slow our roll. The info on Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and York is helpful and we will be looking at them. Thank you again.

I loved this video! So insightful!! I’ve really been considering the Charlotte area as my next big move once my son gets a little older! A lot of the places you’ve named I’ve also heard amazing things about. Yes! Please make another video ❤️

Thank you for this video. We are moving back to Charlotte from Atlanta and have been debating back-and-forth between Steele Creek and Mallard Creek so this video really helped. We are from Columbia South Carolina, and also looked into Fort Mill too so be close to family but those prices are outrageous. Lol. 😂❤❤

Good vid and on point. Plaza Midwood is a nice area too, kind of NoDa lite but with more amenities. Lots of restaurants and close to downtown.
