The Top 10 BEST Places to live in Florida in 2022. If you're thinking of moving to the Sunshine State, these are the Best Cities and Small Towns to move to!

In order to determine which Florida cities and towns are the best (and worst), we analyze a few categories including their economy, cost of living, crime and safety, health, education, affordability, and quality of life. I also implemented my personal experiences and the pros and cons of each location.

My biggest suggestion is to visit these places first to decide where you want to move to and live.

And if you thought Florida was just a place for vacation or retirees, you couldn't be more wrong! Tons of young professionals and families are moving here due to the cheap cost, great schools, growing job market, and warm weather and beautiful beaches, making it one of the fastest growing states!

I've been a resident of the St. Pete area for 30+ years now. The area has grown and has changed in so many good ways. The world class museums located here are just one of the many things that makes this such an awesome place to live. It is defintely Florida at its finest... Go Rays!!

Florida is such a diverse population state, with housing to accommodate all budgets from mobile homes to mega mansions. Every Floridian likely has their own personal like for a community on this list. as well as dozens of other communities that could have just as easily made this list... There are no wrong answers with this, imo. I love Florida.

I lived in FL for 12 years, and I can only agree with Melbourne and St Pete ... both cities are calm and not too packed and affordable but close to tons of things to do. The only drawback to St Pete is the crazy commute times if you work in Tampa but live in St Pete ... which most ppl do.

100% agree with the top of the list. I’ve spent time all over FL, and St. Pete and Destin are the two best locales, especially St Pete. The town has everything that anybody could ever want in a destination, unless you’re a fan of cold weather, snow, gray skies, and depression.

I've lived in Ft. Lauderdale for over 20 years and still completely love it here! There's so much to do here with way less traffic than Miami.

I live in Jacksonville. It's a good place to live. No tourists, snowbirds or retirees! The city has an amazing array of neighborhoods. It's an affordable place to live. People are friendly. It's diverse. I like the north Florida vibe and the tall pine trees.

Love the Tampa Bay area! Really, the whole central Florida region over to Orlando! Love the easy access to a number of theme parks, as well as beaches! Always something to do. And you are correct, St. Petersburg is a gem!

Born in New York, raised in Broward County. Let me tell you, Southeast Florida is freaking insane! Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties should be their own separate state. Really beautiful parks, awesome beaches, gorgeous women, and more. But we're just plain crazy 😂. If you like a mixture of calm and insanity, come on over.

Miami has so much to offer. I am not a native, but, I have lived there well over half my life. I recently travelled (again) around the country. This time, I realized that Miami is actually amazing in so many ways. And, as the old saying goes: The rules in Miami are simply different!

Born and raised in Jacksonville, it's a great city. Very diverse, has a scene for everyone and access to anything and everything. It's affordable and you get a mix of southern hospitality, beach access, and all the benefits of Florida without the crackheads of south florida. If you're looking for a place to live, it's the best "big" city I've ever been to and I've been all over the country. I'm without questioned biased, and the city does have it's problems. That said, the upside on the town is way too high to not consider it.
