After my mic randomly crashed on me this fixed it perfectly. actually better then before as when the driver re installed it actually gave me the ability to lower or raise the gain on my computer which gave me much more control over the mic.

So I’ve had this issue several times in the past year. What I’ve found that also works is to go to focus rite, login, click device you have and download their latest one from website. It will automatically restart your computer. My issue was when I went to preferences to click asio audio, it would say driver not found and boom I was stuck, I was on my way to trying this then it restarted after downloading and my usb gave a notification that it was connecting to si2 Scarlett. Crazy how complicated this can be, especially when you just want to record some music!!!! Thanks for the video.

I thought my mic or my focusrite had completely haywired, and I'd have to buy a new one. But your video got me on the right track! What ended up working for me was deleting the driver "USB Software Root" in the Focusrite USB Audio tab. After that I had to reinstall the Focusrite Controls for it to function, as the installer automatically reinstalls this driver if it is missing. Thank you so much!

brother, my microphone was very low, it's a rode nt1a, at first I was super sad because I thought the investment had been lost, but no! I found the solution to my problems with the first steps of this video, just remove the drivers and restart the pc, really thank you very much bro!!, now I know what to do every time it happens to me.!

Despite the effort you put into this video, I still could not solve my problem with the interface. Maybe I did not follow your steps properly or else. My problem is this: Several times the interface worked best but it only worked through some wonder. It´s because after plugging it (switching off phantom power first and everything) back into the laptop and switching everything on accordingly, I cannot hear myself speaking into the microphone. My phantompower is switched on, mic plugged in, volume up, gain up .. but it does not react. I don´t know what to do. I read somewhere I needed a preamplifier for the microphpne because it eats away the gain?
Do you understand my issue?

I've had plenty of issues with my Scarlett 8i6. It only plays sound through my DAW. Can't get it to play audio doing anything else

oh my god thank you, thanks to the first part of the video helped solved my problem.
basicly my discord was not picking up any sound from my focusrite but i would see the light going on the focusrite going so it was doing sound but discord was not having any of it but just doing the first part of this video solved it. so thanks again this was driving me nuts for a while.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I thought my EV-RE20 was broken ($500 mic) or my focusrite, but it ended up just being that the audio channels were off for the microhpone!! <33

Thank you so much for this sweet and short video. As the intro suggested, I restarted my computer a hundred times and updated the drivers and all, but windows 10 would freak out and enable and disable the device on its own. Felt like my PC was possessed for a sec. 😅
