This fix is meant as an easy and quick way to get your microphone running again but it this doesn't work, the recommendation is to first restart your PC after all the solutions and fixes, and then try reinstalling windows. Meant for all current Windows versions: XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and of course Windows 10.

Hello! I want help with something:

I did the steps in the video (including the reset), and it worked fine when I reset it, but now it isn't. The mic works when I used my headset, but since it got broken I wanted to use my laptop's mic. When I did the steps, all I could hear when I was testing my mic was static, no actual feedback of my voice, please help me!

my mic says its not detected where i clearly have my headset plugged in, i can hear my game volume and and everything but its my microphone that is not working. On the sound/recording page it says my mic is not plugged in but i do have my mic plugged i dont know why it can detect the mic please help.
