Plyometrics or Heavy Resistance for building strong tendons?

📈 Plyometrics are more specific to training tendon elasticity.

The ability of our tendons to stretch and return to their starting length.

📊 Heavy resistance is more specific to increasing tendon stiffness

This helps you transmit force into the ground.

🏋🏽‍♂️ Tendons need to be able to reform when stretched as well as remain stiff and transmit force into the ground.

Therefore it’s important to train a combination of BOTH plyometrics and heavy resistance exercise.

It’s opposite, plyometrics increase stiffness of the tendons and isometrics make muscle-tendon junction more elastic and less stiff

HSR is used in Rehab to break cross links so it does not increase stiffness all the opposite

It seems the key with plyometics for tendon health is simply the act of jumping, so could this be done on a trampoline?
