Total nonsense. All the fiber you need can come from vegetables and fruit. There's no need for grains and starches.

The best diet I found for losing weight is similar to Paleo but I also eat legumes. I thought Paleo allowed for beans but this video says otherwise. I am 54 and have lost 34lbs in seven months (currently 170lbs.) working out and eating gluten-free. A gluten free diet is similar to Paleo but allows for legumes. I wish the best for everyone's healthy adventures. Feel free to add your opinion to my comments.

Paleo is not consist of _lean_ meat/fish

It consist of _natural_ meat/fish, which can be or not to be lean

But you can still get fibre from eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.

This has been my great grandfathers diet for decades.

He has OCD, he is a retired government farmer,

He is turning 118 years this December.

He has spent more on his meals than he has on his children.

He only eats three things every day.

1 kg Salmon
1 kg Spinach
2 liter Water

These 3 things are mixed into a simmering soup with Oregano, Parsley, Coriander, Garam Masala, Garlic, Ginger and Turmeric.

Studies that show red meat linked with cancer don't control for smokers. So we "don't know" if it was the meat, or the cancer-sticks. Oh yeah, such studies also don't control for things like rather red meat means grass-finish steak or McD's bugers.

Carnivore is much healthier. There are many people on here that can validate this. You dont need fiber. I was on carnivore for 3 weeks and lost 19 pounds and felt great at the age of 50. Unfortunately the holidays showed up and my sweet tooth came back. Now have to start over again

I don’t have time to cook a fry breakfast every morning - drinking shakes for breakfast or having a yogurt just gives me an upset stomach. So what do I eat for breakfast ? Just fruits and nuts and an avocado ? I will end up hungry for the rest of the day / might as well keel over and died

This comment isn't about how healthy or unhealthy the Paleo diet is, but, rather, it's about the logic holes in some of its premises.

(I'm calling present day Paleo dieters "Neo Paleos" to make it simpler.)

Neo Paleos eat foods that were unknown in many--probably most--geographical regions during the Paleolithic period. No one living in the frigid north at that time ate oranges, for example, yet a Neo Paleo living in upstate New York can eat them in January and still be on an approved Paleo diet. Almost all fruits and vegetables available now are highly hybridized and would be unrecognizable to ancient mankind.

Unless a Neo Paleo exclusively eats wild meat he's eating hybridized animal species--probably as hybridized as much as the maligned modern wheat is. If Neo Paleos can't afford grass fed beef, they end up eating grain because most beef is finished on grain before slaughter.

A plump breasted Jenny-O turkey in no way resembles a wild turkey.

The Paleo diet is a romantic assumption about what ancient man ate that is based on extremely limited archeological evidence.

The only way modern people can truly eat in a Paleolithic way is to become a hunter gatherer. I doubt there are any 1st world Neo Paleos who would be willing to deprive themselves like that.

A specific type of meat ( saturated fatty red meat) is linked to an increased cardiovascular disease not meat as a whole.

Kudos for the video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Dinanlinson Perfection Guide Approach (probably on Google)? It is an awesome one off product for discovering a collection of tasty paleo recipes without the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my best friend Jordan finally got excellent success with it.
