Whilst I love these tips it does wind me up when we are espoused to buy from farmers’ markets…I don’t have time! Or the money! Farmers markets are at least twice as expensive. It is a luxury for the well off. Thank you for the tips for homemade beauty products, however!

Hi Connie, I also heard a few years ago, if you eat fast food, such as burgers and fries when travelling, as it is a heavy meal, it makes you more tired and therefore not good for the driver. We don't stop at those places either, always pack a lunch or stop at supermarket and gets salads, etc. Another thing we don't do, is always run the air con in the car when travelling, instead winding the windows down for air. Perhaps people think we are mad and cheap, but it saves in fuel costs as well. We live in Australia and it gets very hot in Summer, but we have a dry heat where we live inland, so we also don't run an air con all the time in our home, as we don't need it because it is not humid with the heat. Great video! My daughter says I'm an escapee from a hippie commune because I make everything, including laundry detergent and underarm deodorant. I'm 73 and have taken a heck of a ribbing for my eccentric ways over the years, but my new dermatologist was blown away by my healthy complexion. I make my own skin care products, and he asked if I'd share my recipes, so perhaps he could convince his wife to try them. Eliminating harmful chemicals in my daily life has been my mission for decades, and it's really paying off in my old age.

Frozen foods can be very frugal, I use a lot of frozen vegetables. Where I live, vegetables are very expensive and frozen vegetables offer good value for money.
