We've had our griddle for two years, and last year I took over the griddling from my husband. He didn't know how to care for it, and every time I go to use it, I've had to deal with rust. After watching your videos, I fixed it, used it, cleaned it using your method and covered it for three weeks. I went to use it today and IT WASN'T RUSTY!! Thank you for your clear instructions on keeping the griddle clean and rust free.

Thanks. Just cooked fajitas and vegetables on mine so I searched and come upon your video. It worked like a charm so thank you very much.

appreciate the straight forwarded approach and the listed steps. Way too many videos on youtube with ppl going on and on rather than just telling us how it is.

Hey Johnny! Just got a 28 inch Blackstone...been watching all your videos...GREAT STUFF!!! I particularly like the fact that you need beer for grilling and have enjoyed your laid back style in presenting the information...THANKS & GO BUCS!!!

Exactly how I do my Camp Chef. I also keep a small teaspoon to run down the trough to get grease out. I keep a small screwdriver to clean out drain hole. Works perfect

Another great video! Some videos suggest not using water, but I definitely consider you to be an expert so I’m sold.

I just gotta say, I wish I'd have found you last summer! lol ...Spring broke here last week and I've been studying beer to grill ratios.

I kinda got the beer/clean grill order wrong and started to clean grill AFTER heavy into the PBRs. Friends came as I was heating up the grill for initial clean we went in the house and.. well.. I forgot about this whole I'm gonna clean the grill thing. 1 1/2 hours later, my Camp Chef 2 burner was all weird lookin, so I turned it off and went in the house. Turns out this happy accident saved me haha.

After a rest and further study watching your vids I realized I didn't really do the season proper when I bought it. I use cast iron, so I did some cast iron crap I imagined as right and went with it. All last summer, my food was stickin, black stuff sometimes scraped off with food and well.. I just thought it'll fix itself, no biggie - sips beer -

Who woulda thunk you were supposed to super fry the grilltop until it looked all weird in order for the magic to start?!? Superheat, scrape all crap off a few times then 2 tablespoons of oil until it "smokes off" 3 times and done?!? Just wow haha

I did a big ole 4 omelets, sausage, taters, and bacon thing this morning. It was like cookin on a slippery cloud!

I was so happy. I chopped up 9 pounds of chicken breast drowned them in italian dressing and threw 'em on the grill. We'll EAT LIKE KINGS for a day or two!! woohoo! And easy cleanup.

Thanks man!

Thanks a lot for that clip. That's really cool coz you don't use tons of chemical products as I saw in other videos. We've watched videos of people cleaning their griddles and some use different products and techniques: Special griddle chemical product, scrub, put vinegar and then water. If you can get good results with only water that's even better. Who's glad to spend time and energy cleaning a griddle after eating? We all want a quick and easy method that is reliable and protects from rust.
Also, my brother in law told me that one of the best thing to put at the end is some Tenderflake. Have you tried it?
Thank you.

I don’t have one of these yet but I wanted to ask a question what’s the best way to store these during the winter time when there’s lots of moisture thanks
