This isn't perfect and I know that so save your comments. This was intended to extend the life of the panel/paint until we are ready for a new(er) car. This is my personal car, so I'm happy with "Better than used, not quite new" for this repair job.

You messed up by dry sanding. Wet sand with 2000 grit sand sponges. Clean panel with tack cloths then clear coat. It's simple.

You need to Wet sand it with 600 800 1000 grid and Remove old Clear coat
You can stil see the old damaged paint...
Only on metallic Never use sand paper ...

You did this outside, on a windy day? Wouldn't that cause random debris to stick to the clear? I'm asking because I need to do something similar but no garage.

You can still see what you meant to fix buddy. Hate you spent money on a car that you say is barely a keeper. Even though its paid off man make it look good as you can sell it for more but its obvious you must not give a shit or your rich.

Not very informative. Instead of music a little narration would have been helpful like grit of sandpaper etc.
