I personally would only use Matte or Satin on hot rods. Most of the time I use gloss, Pearl, and flat base coats. It's just 1000% easier to maintain I love the look of matte on some vehicles but most of the time it's just too much hassle to deal with. Btw if anyone was wondering i am ASE Certified for Auto Body Collision Repair.

Same as any other paint most scratches that you would want to polish are deep ones and those requiere re painting anyway

You use matte black BEDLINER SPRAY.

I sprayed the bumpers, hood & trunk/spoiler of my classic Toyota tuner car in bedliner spray and it looks fantastic!

If anything happens just mask the area off and give it another top coat.

It's unbelievably durable and has a slight textured appearance.

So is it like flat paint, in a home? Gets dirty easy, but also easy and quick to fix? Flat paint touches up easy and blends nice.

Man, these comments are filled with matte hate, I honestly don’t see the need for the hate. I love a matte black finish on a car, it’s beautiful! The most beautiful matte black factory paint I’ve ever seen is by heather ballentine, who does multiple lambos in “Nero Nemesis” Matte black factory paint.

I have a matte black painted car for years and I don’t drive my car too often as I have a spare car for my daily. What this guy said is one of the reason why I don’t drive my matte black painted car because it is way too cool and beastly looking car to drive it due to its colour until I’m scared to drive it unless I’m driving it with my crew boostin and clearing carbon😅

I have an appointment next week to get my Audi A7 Matte painted. So you’re saying if any scratches occur, there’s no wiggle from around it? That I’ll have to redo the entire thing if anything happens?

I scratched my matte black OEM rims and trying to find a way to fix it is impossible. My ladies gloss rims for some reason seem easier to touch up per the internet.
