Zenless Zone Zero Vs Wuthering Waves? Mihoyo's SECRET PLAN

I've seen a lot of people talking about zenless zone zero and how it's going to be wuthering waves' new competitor and that Mihoyo is apparently using it as a retaliatory move against Wuthering Waves by releasing it one month after.
However, I think there is a big misconception in the gacha community. I don’t think people know what mihoyo’s true objective is with zenless zone zero and how it strategically fits into its gacha games catalog. But before I discuss Mihoyo’s strategy let me explain why I don't think Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero are direct competitors.

ZZZ for the win the only reason why is because I dropped wuwa it with instant cause it was giving things to easily im not saying that’s bad, but hoyo doesn’t keeps you on leash but you get addicted to the games the graphics and all that stuff plus gambling.

WuWa isnt catered towards hardcore players, thats BS, the exploration is more enticing than Genshin, the story has just begun, WuWa just gives a choice to players with the holograms

This is probably one of the best and most level headed videos on this topic. Indeed with HI3 part 2 basically just dragging and let's be honest, being on life support since the end of part 1, they want a successor. And what better successor than ZZZ ? This side of the gacha market is an easy meal for hoyo. Because the competition is pretty damn weak. PGR is a decent game sure, but it really does not make a lot of money. So even if ZZZ does not make like 100 mil a month like genshin, it really does not need to. The most successful gacha games of this genre don't even make like 3 to 5 mil a month so if ZZZ Makes something 20mil a month for hoyo, they would be happy and would be dominating yet another piece of the gacha cake. they managed to somehow do it with HSR in the most competitive side of gacha too which is the real impressive feat from hoyo tbh.

Mihoyo knows what they're doing.
Kuro doesn't.

Honestly disappointed at how they handled the game, it was saved by a big boobed puppeteer.

Still teenagers/kids as main characters
core gameplay loop is a lot different.

in short WuWa main competitor is genshin. ZZZ and Star rail are both secondary games where you just drop in, do a little fight/ your chores (great....) and done.

Genshin & WuWa goes a bit more than that with the exploration, puzzles and so on.

You CAN'T play all of them. If you do, go touch grass .... Ppl will choose the products they want to play. I will choose the one made by a company that is a least invested in the quality of the product they sell or how they consider their customers.
