Bought my 2015 f150 Lariat in 2018 with 30K miles. 5.0 engine. 6speed trans. Still have it with 80K miles and it's perfect. Paid off and will keep driving the 5.0 for many more years to come. No issues at all. Take care of your truck and it'll give you years of service.

I've noticed that, mostly in the warm months, mine tends to get a lot of bug slats on the windshield.

Never was a ford guy, until the company I worked for bought a 2012 f-150 3.5 eco boost. I put 90, 000 on it not a problem one. Loved it. Was a quiet ride. Loved the torque pulling my 31’ outback up the mountains in Wyoming with ease. Unbelievable performance. I’m a ford believer now.

I love how the majority of issues are with the loaded out mall crawlers. This is why I buy bare bones pickups, nothing to break.

I've got a 2018 F150 3.5 and I've had some of the same trouble you're talking about. My 10spd slips and harsh shifts on 6-5 and 5-4. Also I'm going on for the warped dash. And my truck will not start on occasion several times in a row, key turn to start and nothing...repeat several attempts and after 5 or 7 it starts. My Sync 3 is a hot mess. Won't power off sometimes, cuts off calls, turns itself on when you leave truck idling and walk away. I've had the water pump and rear leaf spring replaced as well as the tensioner pulley and belt. Currently I have 8400 miles on it and bought it new with 7 miles on it march 15. It will soon be lemon material because it's been over 33 days in the shop.

Traded a 2015 GMC Sierra for a 2017 f150, and haven’t looked back. First Ford truck (2 Sierras & 1 Silverado) and I am impressed. 5.0 is very quick and strong. I wish it was a little heavier (2WD) but like it so far, 56k miles, 22.4mpg (mostly highway commute). No issues so far

You can type any make any model on youtube and your going to have issues. I have a 2018 3.5 FX4 for a year now and it's never skipped a beat. With all the new tech they put on ALL vehicles the better the odds are you will have issues.

Bought a 2015 2.7L Super Crew in September 2018 with ~45K miles. It went limp coming out of my driveway in mid-December. Went in the shop then for ~4 weeks. Since then, I've gotten it back from the shop 3 separate times and had the check engine light come on anywhere from 1 to 7 days after and had to bring it back in to get looked at. Since it initially went in the shop in mid-December, it's been in the shop probably ~8 weeks total. I wanted a truck for years before I bought this one. It's been incredible when I've had it, but I'm super disappointed in the reliability so far and doubt I'll buy another Ford truck if it doesn't get figured out soon.

Are the dying engines on the EcoBoost only? What about the n/a 5.0 V8 coyote engine? I hear they are the most reliable engines ford makes nowadays.

Bought my '15 brand new with the 5.0 engine and the 6 speed. I absolutely love this truck. One thing, do NOT follow Ford's recommended maintenance schedule - Oil change at 5K or less / trans service @ 30K - Their recommended schedule only gets you out of warranty period and then you have 'hard part failures' which then cost YOU. Like dadlovestofish says, take care of your truck and it will take care of you

I love the Fords and that was the first truck I wanted. Did all my homework on all these 1/2 ton pickups and I ended up with the Tundra. And couldn’t be happier. The Ram is very nice but my buddy bought a brand new 2018 Ram and it’s been to the dealer on three occasions to wheel center caps falling off to rear brake light issues and a noticeable engine knock on startup and less noticeable knock while idling. It hasn’t even made it one full year yet.

Toyota, Nissan, Dodge, Chevy, and Ford all have problems. Find what you like and drive it.

I have a 2015 Ford F 150 and I've had all the issues listed except for the door locks. The transmission is especially concerning for me, making me not want to keep it long term.
