I just pulled the plug in the boot of my e82 135i n55 and that keeps the flap open permanently. The cold starts are great!

Another fix for this is to disconnect the solenoid and put a termination resistor on the connector coming from the engine computer so you don't get a fault code. BMW sells a connector with a termination resistor and they also sell a blank connector that you can insert into the connector on the solenoid so it doesn't get corroded. To use this method, you have to remove the solenoid, turn the solenoid to the open position and then reinstall it. If you want to go back to stock, just reconnect the wire. I did it on my F39, which has the same solenoid as on your car.

My 330e g21 u can choose engine sound in all modes. U dont have to do this, u can open the valve at start. Maybe this is not the case in older models

My 5 series just disconnect the arm that opens and closes and I used a nail to pin the flapper open. The module thinks it's opening and closing but it's not. 10 minutes max to do.

Just take out fuse when when the valve is open, then stays open all the time and no fault codes !!

I went to do a muffler delete today on my 2015 n20 328i, the guy told me it wouldn’t be a good idea because that “sensor” on the exhaust (valve actuator) needs to stay there because if not it will throw up engine codes and car will go into safe mod and lose power. Is that true Doc? Am I able to get rid of that valve actuator to get a muffler delete without any problems.

I believe there is a dummy plug available from BMW that you plug in when the BMW MPE exhaust is fitted to stop the error message.

HELP. I’ve recently bought a m135i exhaust to get a dual exit exhaust on my 120D. How do i go about getting the valve cabled up if its a none valved car to begin with? How can i get the valve to work as it normally would?

Dump 4 gallions of paint thinner in the gas tank whennits empty and add 1/4 tank of gas to clean out the cats and it will clean them out..

Why does mine not open on the right side after a muffler delete. Everything is plugged in. And the left side makes an audible rattle when opening closing.
