But in the DA50 you won't tip stall into the ground, you have one throttle, not some carburettor from the 1930's, the interior fit and finish is way better in the DA50. The DA50 is also liquid cooled so you don't get the same issues on hot days. It uses Jet A too which is much more economical, so the more you use it the cheaper it get. There's no way I would ever buy a Cirrus. They look cheap on the inside and seem to crash more despite having the CAPS system.

The DA50 is the bigger plane here, yes fuel costs for AVGAS would be a little higher compared to Jet-A but the maintenance costs on the Cirrus will definitely offset the costs saved in lower fuel cost, also a DA50 has a list price of $500k more compared to the Cirrus, for that amount you can fill your tank quite a lot of times lol! I know what I would choose! Also consider the SR22 at 12, 000 feet, is more economical than the DA50. For comparison the DA50 at 11.3 GPH or roughly 67.5% power the plane makes 158 KTAS. The Cirrus at the same altitude and for the same fuel burn makes 166 knots at 55% power. Although Jet-A has a slightly higher energy density compared to AVGAS, AVGAS has a higher volumetric energy density, AVGAS is lighter for the same volume, this results in gas engines being more powerful compared to a diesel engine with the same weight. But in all honesty: If you can afford to buy either of these planes; fuel cost should be none of your concern, performance, comfort and easily available maintenance will be the only things that matter here. (Unless you’re Dutch of course)

Why is the weight capacity difference shown as 330 lbs even though it should be 29 lbs going by the black numbers given above (944 - 915 = 29).

I think the cirrus is way better because for the price difference the only thing really different is the weight.🎉
