Imagine being the republic security counsel.

The Supreme Chancellor excutes a purge of the Jedi claiming they turned against the republic.

Moments later a massive spacecraft appears over Coresaunt and nukes the senate building from orbit. Killing the Supreme Chancellor, the majority of the senators, and millions of various executive beauracrats, not to mention untold civilians.

Then the grand master of the Jedi order contacts you, from said space craft, demanded you stop purging his fellow Jedi.

Bruh, in this timeline Sideous was right. The jedi truely have taken over.

2. And, even if they DID, I doubt it would be called the "Death Star".
