NARCISSISTS AND THE LACK OF EMPATHY THEY HAVE. WHY DO TOXIC PEOPLE HAVE VERY LOW EMPATHY LEVELS

One of the main blanket statements I hear all over social media is "NARCISSISTS DONT HAVE EMPATHY" which is untrue for your regular run of the mill narcissistic people like myself. there is a big difference between LACK OF EMPATHY and HAVING NO EMPATHY at all.

Welcome my channel! If this is your first time seeing my face or hearing my voice, my name is Lee and I am a self aware #narcissist. I have narcissistic personality disorder ( #NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.

The point of these videos is to help bring awareness from the other side of the narcissistic *buse spectrum. All my videos give perspective on why many narcissists do what they do and the possible different reasons behind them. The victims and survivors get validation and the #Narcissists (those that are willing) get to see that you can get help and that you are not alone.

Mine acted like a teenager at 47 years old. Man child! I knew him from a teenager nothing changed. It was his world we were just living in it! I said that all the time. He didn't have empathy for us his family but he had it for everyone else. Or at least acted like it.
He believes the laws don't apply to him. He's been in and out of jail his entire life. Yes BIG RED FLAGS!!! I let my heart lead the way. Now my brain is in control. Thank goodness!!! My ex narc doesn't even care about his own children. Tells everyone how great he is all the time. What a joke!!! The new people eat it up. They will soon find out on there on!!!

Yes definitely a spectrum and depending on where your narc falls is the difference between the lack of empathy and none...mine is sociopath psychopath level...no empathy for anyone at all...

That how he was. The bad part about it is because he has no empathy when our daughter is expressing herself, he yo-yos her it’s the back and fourth . I try to say something and he does not hear. I see her Anxiety already and she is only 5. We about todo Thearpy don’t want her to turn out like him.

I think it dealing with a person with ASPD. He gets angry when I cry. He have stepped over me after pushing Me to a mental breakdown and left the house. Or went in the office an played video games.

Lee it's been very helpful to understand you and the Narcissist.
I dealt w a psychopath Machiavelli covert who was void of empathy remorse guilt care...even joy.
He had anger though. He had Envy. Bitterness. Hatred. Disdain.
I'm glad to hear there is a level of narcissism that has emotions. Would that be more of a borderline personality though?

My my ex husband told me recently that he is heartless he's still in a relationship with the woman he left me for she was so happy to get him has no self-esteem from what I could tell he punished me with withholding sex and he's doing the same to her I'm still a work in progress but happy while I'm doing it

I read a theory about this. A lack of/diminished empathy might be caused from Disaffection (Alexithymia), which is the inability to identify or describe one's emotions, and is often related to a traumatic childhood event. "Unable to repress the ideas linked to emotional pain and equally unable to project these feelings onto other people, the feelings are simply ejected from consciousness, pulverizing all trace of emotion". So the feelings were too overwhelming for the child to process and as a way to cope they sort of turned off their feelings altogether. This could also explain narcissistic rage. Some people with Alexithymia can manifest periodic outburst of anger or rage (Dysphoria). Dysphoria is an intense state of distress that can increase feelings of suicide. Relieving it is therefore a priority of psychiatric treatment.

I think my narc lacks a soul... he is an absolute nightmare and he just don't think about ANY of the damage he's created and done. Lee, I was raised by a NPD father with borderline and sociopath traits.
I realize I have high Histrionic traits or probably even the desorder, and some BPD traits, and all my life I attract narcissists. I was wondering why narcissists are drawn to be all my life. It's just insane. My connection with the narcissists last only 2 meeting though. Honestly I found narcissist easily manipulated. They irritated me, and discard them first 😅
Narcissists are somehow fun and they have a lost stare in my opinion. The narcissist stare look somehow in between intimidating and sad.
The sociopath on the other hand have a sadic and really scary stare, they look sick.

Lee if u don’t want people to get close to you … when they are love bombing and the speed of the relationship to get you to commit to them or move in with them? …. It appears they are connecting to you but are you saying this is all done with no connection?

So... dude I was talking with got covid last year... and he was sick for 18 days... I was so scared fro him... I had dropped him off meds, soup etc.. by his car... then I got a mild case of covid. Lost taste buds for 3 days. Minor chest congestion... And this dude was like "wow that's messed up" like wtf!!! I was like wow!!! Ok...

Can you make a video on some narcs relationship with food?I noticed it took forever for him to decide what to eat like abnormally long and if it didn’t work out he would be very affected by it. Or if I picked up it was add this minus this double that which would have me on edge after messing it up at times or forgetting to check. Sometimes wanting to eat the exact same things from the same place on the same day at the same time and wanting me to eat it too. I had to just go to two places sometimes if I wanted something different but it was easier to just eat the same. Maybe just my experience but it was something I noticed.

My Narc told me if I leave again, That’s It, well I left because he was talking to other women on the phone in the bathroom.Is he going to try and contact me again after some time pass or is he gone for good???
