Hardcore off-roading and towing means lots of shifting which broils your truck's transmission fluid and leads to hard shifts and poor overall function. The stock transmission oil pan with its low volume and fairly weak design can make for interesting experiences if you actually use your truck like you should be using your truck. Our good friends over at aFe have come with the perfect solution for your 2009 to 2015 F150 with this awesome high-capacity cast aluminum oil pan. aFe's pan carries 7 quarts more oil than stock, giving you a total transmission oil capacity of 19.1 quarts. The huge volume of oil combined with the pans cooling-oriented design drastically reduces transmission temperatures and keeps your truck's 6R80 running at its best, even under extreme conditions with tons of shifting.

Where do you get the filter extension from. My pan didn't come with on. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Just tried to install the new pan and found out the extension tube they provide does not fit the filter on my 2013 F 150. Would have been really nice if they had mentioned that. I found a review that said you need to get a older model filter that does not have a tapered pick up tube. Not impressed with AFE so far !

How do you get to the back allen bolts behind the exhaust crossover? Even with a swivel I couldn't reach them.

I was just at 4 Wheel Parts and I was talking to the salesman while my truck was getting worked on. I asked for a Mag Hytec transmission pan because I have chosen to get the Mag Hytec rear differential cover. The salesman called Mag Hytec and AFE, both companies said they do not make a transmission pan for a 2013 Ford F150. This must be a mix up or my salesman is lying to me.

yikes!! some of that rtv got a little too close for comfort to that inside edge. You shouldnt be using this at all, but I do see a use to hold the gasket better in place but you all slathered it on like cake frosting!!

Another example of a company creating a problem that doesn't exist. Then selling a solution to this fictitious problem.
