That kit should have an o ring included. Reusing the old one is silly.

They could have used the money they saved on the plastic "skid plate" and put a real dipstick seems the engineer and the dipstick got their names confused

Thanks for the thought but $210.00 Cmon guys that thing didn't cost the company $25 to build . The same parts other then the dipstick can be purchased at lowes or home depot

What I dont like are two things: Drilling holes into the firewall and gouging the dipstick to mark the full level. Another company that does make a dipstick for the Ford uses a mounting bracket and the dipstick is already marked.

Thought it was pretty cool! Then I saw the price...

I had the dipstick already mounted and fed down before starting. Seemed to make job easier

Good quick video of the procedure, thanks. The ANS special fittings bottom and top likely add to the price. I think with the exhaust so close I would have slipped a heat shield tube over the dipstick.

2024 used the o ring supplied, laying on the ground trying to start tread that was fun, because of this video I had it in but oh he changed it unscrewed it, it took me 30 times to get it started again with the motor running I have burns many many burns cant turn off the motor oil will run out. 1/2 way on the stick is the middle of A and B... reading A is hot running check and B is cold over flow mark if opened... 265$ for the B&M and they are the only company who makes it for the 2014 Ford 6R80 sealed dipstick?

IDK- what could possibly go wrong? I swear- Ford engineers must have a F*** with 'em Fridays on their calendar.

RIDICULOUS for that price and NO O-ring. LOKAR & summit sell one for less $$ & it comes with O-rings PLUS the LOKAR stick has actual markings on the end, not a stupid saw blade cut that YOU had to make. & the LOKAR or Summit does NOT have a company logo on the end, for that high price B&M why would i want to give them free advertising on my truck.

Really sucks for the owner of the vehicle, because when you take it in to get something done, you’re trusting the mechanic to do it right. I’ve heard stories, and witnessed, that the trained technician failed to do their job. For example, my mom had her oil changed, went to drive it around after and the engine was overheating a few miles down the road. Come to find out, they drained the oil, but never put any back in. My dad had similar, but also had a multi point inspection. Somehow they decided to drain the coolant, but managed to break the plug. Their fix was to wrap plumbing tape around the broken piece and stuff it back in the hole. He found this out when he and my mom went to the store after the inspection and there was steam coming from the engine. Parked it and the rest of the fluid poured on the ground after they shut it off. 2 shops, 2 different technicians. And another was when my mom got an oil change at a different shop, they left the oil bottle upside down over the fill hole, the cap now missing. And these people are supposed to be “Specialists”. As my dad says, if I wanted to screw it up, I’d do it myself. I bring it in to you, paying lots of money to have it done right by your mechanics, and they manage to break something else.

Make sure it’s a operating temp BEFORE removing cap! I just spilled over a quart of trans fluid in my driveway! Lol

Dipstick tube looks pretty narrow compared to the ones in earlier models that came with tubes. Anyone have success refilling the trans from this tube after doing a service?
