☠☠☠ DON'T USE THE WRONG TRANSMISSION FILTER!! ☠☠☠ FORD 6R80 TRANSMISSION FOR THE 2.7 F-150 ECOBOOST

There is a difference between the 3.5 and 5.0 6R80 transmission filter and the 2.7 transmission filter and the part stores will tell you WRONG!! We checked Oreilly's, Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, Rock Auto, and NAPA and they do not specify the correct filter for the 2.7 Ecoboost trucks. I show you the difference between these two and the correct filter to use.

FT-188 single outlet kit is for 6R80 (WITHOUT) the Auto Start-stop feature; FT-200 or two outlet is for 6R80's equipped (WITH) the Auto S/S feature.

Thanks a lot for this video. I have a 2016 f150 5.0 and was reviewing some videos on changing the filter. In the comments someone talked about 2 different filters but didn't give adequate information as to which one was correct. This video made it clear.

Amen brother. Dropped my pan with the "correct" ft188 filter in hand and old filter has two outputs. What the... I got this replacement using my VIN on a Ford dealer site. Now my hour long project is turning into another rabbit hole with this truck I want to love. 2015 2.7 supercrew. I honestly am starting to believe when this was assembled, they grabbed any part from all the production lines and the first that fit went on.

**To add insult to injury, just picked up part FT-200 @ almost 4 times the cost! Full disclosure - Napa had it at thrice the price but had to order from warehouse.

I'm editing a video now where I ran into this problem. I went to the dealer to buy the right fluid and filter $107. They gave the 3.5 filter. More than 3 months later when I felt like doing the job. I found this out. I went back to the dealer and they gave me the right filter but it cost $30 more.

Dang it, I can't believe I did this. Got done rebuilding this Ecoboost Ford f150. Have been building transmissions since 1983.
Got done trans worked good Ford a minute but got real harsh and some binding up.
Read all the info, watched hours of video and put some sonax vb parts in.
Thought I had some relearn issues cause it would not act right.
Anyway pulled the unit out, pulled the pan and the filter was loose .
Got to looking at it and saw the filter had no 2nd port.
Pulled your video up,
Then looked at original filter,
Wrong dam filter!

/stop option but you have the valve body that requires two ports is that a big deal if you use the single port? I have the 6r80 on a Toyota
