Do I regret buying the GH5? I'll tell you all about my experience using the camera for the last 5 months. It's been the best camera I've ever owned.

I agree with you Scott. Although at one point when you said "I like the flip out screen because it helps me frame myself, " your eyebrows were cut off by the frame! LOL!! Good content though! :)

Now I really want the GH5! I'm still waiting for the A7S3, but I need a new camera by the end of April. Thats my problem. I know I'm going to be happy with this, but of course, if the A7S3, maybe also an GH6, or something new from Canon, I might regret. What do you think? Worth waiting a little bit more, or just go for the GH5 and start shooting? :)

I just got rid of my a7sii to get a GH5 or GH5S, budget pending. At 7:12 you start talking about the back button focus and although the reliability isn't that high with the a7sii, I had mine set up so I could turn af on or off with that AF/MF/AEL toggle / button.

I went with GH5 in November 2017 after having watched yours and other videos. And then the GH5S came out in January. Luckily, I had the three-month Amazon holiday return windows and got the GH5S which met some of my very specific needs, mainly being better low light. Your video reminds me of one of my favorite Cartoon Network Youtube videos, "Too Much Coffee Brak ?", in a good way. Thanks for your video.

Gh5 shooter in Allentown!? I’m located in Allentown as well! Crazy to see my local Starbucks on a vlog haha! Very valid points on the lumix. I decided to not buy the Sony back in August and leaped with the gh5. Love it!!

Upgrading from he 70d will the autofocus be worse or better? Besides that if I upgrade from a 70d is overall feels like an all around win!

I was blown away by the GH5 image stabilization too. I did handheld video a 300mm and it was rock solid, very useable. Pretty unbelievable, on a canon 5D MK III or a GH2 it was all over the place gello cam of death.
And as you said, the unlimited record time is why every time I come back to the GH series.

I just bought a GH5s and for some reason I can’t import my footage on to my Mac/ into iMovie. The audio will come in but the screen clips are black with a “?” In them. Any thoughts?

Hey Scott! Have You ever tried some third lenses with adapters? Sigma 18-38 F1.8 with Speed Booster for example. Or You prefer only native lenses?

I'm currently using the G85, and will wait for the Gh6 if I want to upgrade. Love M43 from Panasonic!

Very helpful video...I'm considering buying one. I have no lenses...would you recommend going with the native Panasonic lenses or adapting to full frame lenses with a speed booster. Again, this video has helped me understand why this camera is rated so well...real world advice.

Scott Hallo!!! Very important question for you! What kind of exports you choose (kind of file ) when you exporting your vlog. I use Final Cut Pro. Apple ProRes 422? Uncompressed? I very frustrating when I watched last time for my movie on YouTube which was made on gh5. Thanks for answer 👍🥁🎺

Coffee is so bad in the US that American’s talk about Starbucks as a place worth going to. Americans do not seem to realise that people in country’s with good coffee dislike Starbucks. In Australia, for example, Starbucks launched big and opened stores in most cities, and a couple of years later they were announcing their retreat from Australia, and now there are only a handful of shops left, mostly in locations where American tourists go.

Couldn’t agree more about the GH5. Great camera. Looking forward to the GH6.
