"Feelers get their feelings hurt when the thinkers.. Start thinking"
Nothing more relatable than that.

Summary: everyone can be „your type“ as long as you’re both willing to work on yourself and on the relationship 👍🏻

I’m an ENFP female dating an INTJ male for 5 years and he is literally my best friend. He is the only one that truly understands me(honestly better than I know myself) he has taught me so much, to be more analytical and more disciplined vs I’ve brought him out of his comfort zone and he’s thanked me for it :, ) His mind is just so interesting to me and honestly I think he’s a bit autistic (I actually have ADHD as well) and we balance each other. When I’m floating to far you he is what grounds me and brings me back down.💓 I just love this man so damn much.

This wasn’t a romantic relationship, but I’m an INFP and I had an awesome roommate of 6 years who’s an INFJ. She was more organized and had better routines than I did and it helped to keep me from going completely feral. I think having the opposite cognitive functions was complementary, and although INFJs like to give advice and INFPs tend to not take it well, she was good at telling me what she thought in a nuanced way.

INFP happily married to ENTP. With years I've become more logical. My husband now pays more attention to feelings. It's really interesting how people can influence each other😃

INFP female, been with an INFJ male for a little over a year. I absolutely love it. Every disagreement is a discussion, not an argument. We understand and balance each other really well. Same sense of humor, same values.

As an INFP guy it's bold of you to assume that I will ever get into a relationship

INTJ being the feeler in the relationship is strange yet cute

I have a partner and we're both INFP's.
Which is a pain when you realize we won't communicate our relationship issues and try to work through them ourselves. Yep, we try to work through RELATIONSHIP issues, BY OURSELVES.

INTP female, 26 with ENFP husband, 26. He's a really special person who'd listen to me going on tangents for hours whereas making even a small conversation with other people is hard for me. I talk very slowly and deliberately, thinking before uttering each word which makes most people lose interest. But not him. Incredibly attentive and caring guy.

Yes but thinkers get their thinking hurt when the feelers start feeling.

PLEASE do a video on the 16 personalities' sense of humor. Not only would the skits be amazing, but the usefulness of that kind of information would be nearly unparalleled within the context of the 16 personalities.

Sincerely,
INTJ

INFP in a very happy relationship with my INTJ boyfriend. I absolutely agree with everything Frank said in this video. Especially when he was talking about needing balance in a relationship. We both definitely help each other in our weaker areas, him being the goal-oriented thinker and me being the people-understanding feeler (obviously there's much more to it). But we both feel very much alike when it comes to both being introverted and intuitive. For us, it's a perfect balance

My husband is an ENTJ, I’m an ENFJ. We make a great team. We also seem to have fewer thinking / feeling clashes over the years. I think we’ve helped each other become more well-rounded.

I’m an INFP and married for 21 years to an ENFP. I truly feel like he’s the only person who really, truly gets “me.” We’re two sides of the same coin, so to speak. I can’t imagine my life without him and I can’t imagine being with anyone else. If he passes away before I do, I doubt I would pursue another relationship. Who else could ever compare to my lifelong love?

frank: "so you intp's don't go typing that the sponsor made me do this... oh yeah, i'm only attacking one personality type. but i only attack people who deserve it."
me, an intp: i have never felt so personally attacked, yet so logically satisfied because of how accurate this is.

As an infp, I would argue that dating your opposite for balance and growth might feel too clinical and forced. To meet your similar match allows you to take action and responsibility on your own personal growth at your own pace. Love is free then.

🦉French ISFP here, with INTJ (gifted) husband. We met 17 years ago in a mmoorpg and share the same geeky hobbies, the same values and sense of humor. Complementarity work very well for us and communication is the key. Him and our first son (intj too! ) are the brains of the house (good for my poor memory) so I can have the gentle chaotic and artistic side. I find him easy to understand even if other people find him tough and I admire his ability with words and logic (or the "Te-blast" to restore controle of a situation). Patience and comprehension win. ☘
