In this video, we’re going to talk about how to reduce your liver fat by almost 50% in 14 days.

I found an interesting intervention study that showed that obese patients were able to decrease their liver fat by 43.8% in just two weeks. How?

The participants were limited to less than 30 carbs per day—that’s the keto diet.

There were some interesting things that happened in the study:
1. Only 1.8% weight loss
2. No change in waist size
3. Decreased carb to fat conversion by 79.8%
4. Increase fat burning (fatty acid oxidation)

This tells us that the keto diet starts working internally first before you start to see results on your waistline. Your body starts burning liver fat before it starts burning belly fat.

Many people stop doing keto after a week or two because they don’t see immediate results. That’s a mistake because it can take weeks or months to become fully keto-adapted.

Here are some more interesting facts about this study:
• Did not lower calories (avg. 3115 calories per day)
• Significantly lower marker for liver damage
• Significantly lower fasting insulin levels + HOMA-IR
• Improved insulin sensitivity
• Lowered liver inflammation
• Rapid increase in folate (producing bacteria + blood folate)
• 94 bacterial strains were altered (major shifts in just one day)

I had grade 3 fatty liver, very close to cirrhosis and after a few months of ketodiet my sonography showed I don't have fatty liver anymore, not even grade one. keto can definitely be a life saver

Dr.Berg, I have learned so much from your videos. 3 months ago I was diagnosed by my endocrinologist that I had NAFLD and needed to lose weight. I have watched many of Dr. Berg’s videos. I was on the keto diet and I did it almost perfect for two months. The only thing I did wrong was drink a little bit too much heavy whipping cream in my coffee. I only lost 5 pounds in the two months but according to this video my liver got cleaned out. Then I got into intermittent fasting and I even did several 24 hour fasts. I lost 31 pounds in a fairly short time. i’ve not only lost extra pounds but I also feel really good. I lost physical pain as well.

I received a liver transplant 4 years ago. After the transplant I fell 30 ft and was hospitalized for 22 days. Before the transplant I weighed 429 lbs and used keto diet to loose 75 lbs. I found out I had the NAFL, gave me 4 mo to live. I lost 50 in 6 weeks by cutting calories and staying on Keto.
Got the surgery I got to 257lbs. and after I fell the 30 ft, I gained back some weight to 305. Started having some problems with the liver and watched your channel and I am down to 270lb and losing on average 2 lbs per day. I have been doing intermittent fasting for the last few months, and I will have to say I feel better than ever. Ion the fall I broke both legs, back 8 ribs, sternum and collarbone. So I live with back pain and some leg pain, so exercising isn’t a real thing I can do but I want to thank you for sharing this life saving information that I am sharing with my mother who has cirrhosis of the liver, and colon cancer.
My liver doctors didn’t want me on the keto diet, but I stayed on it anyway, and they can’t believe I have done so well. I also did a 4 day fast with only water. Thanks for being there fire those facing certain death if they don’t know the facts. May the Lord bless you, Gordy

Yes, I will follow this regimen to heal my liver as a priority. I’ll focus on being more consistent with the keto diet regardless if I lose weight or not. I’m type 2 diabetes & 59 y/o. No time to waste on eating & drinking what I want. I’ve abused my body long enough by not eating healthy all these years. I’m committed to not allowing foods rule my body anymore! Thanks Dr. Berg!

I live in England I’m 55 and started the intermittent fasting 4 weeks ago, I’ve lost about 2 stone in weight, my skin is great and digestion/bowel movement.have totally changed for the better, which is the first improvement in years and I’ve stopped taking omeprazole, the improvements are unbelievable I’ve had a scan so I know I have a fatty liver which is my next health target, I’m extremely grateful for the videos and now I’ve got your app and exited for the future.

This explains a lot to me. I started keto about four months ago, thanks to your videos. The first month I lost almost nothing but felt much better, so I continued. I progressively lost weight faster and already lost about 10 ks. I didn't cut calories because I wanted a long-term change. I hope to lose more because I feel much better.
