40 medium-sized brussels sprouts
4 quarts water + 1 1/2 tbsp kosher salt
1/4-1/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp kosher salt to season sprouts prior to roasting.

I dump mine in ice water to stop the cooking process so they’re not too soft. I lay them on a paper towel to absorb the water, toss them in olive oil, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt before baking them. Then I’ll give them a quick 2nd toss in the same seasoning after baking.

Trim, cut, toss in olive oil, salt, roast for 18 minutes at 375. Perfectly snackable with much less hassle. We have these once or twice a week. Kids love them.

i do mine in the air fryer tossed with a mix of olive oil, honey, soy sauce, crushed pepper flakes, and all purpose greek seasoning (Cavenders) sooo good, love them all crispy and charred

I normally just cut them in half and fry them in a pan. The options are endless for Brussel sprouts. I normally use some bacon/chestnuts/mediterranean herbs. They've excellent textures and go great with purees/sauces.

Another good way to cook em is you cut the end off and trim/clean as necessary. Roughly shred with a knife (4 cuts or so). sautee sliced mushrooms, render out some bacon (a few lardons). Toss all in a pan and fry on med heat, take miso and make a slurry add along with some lemon and sautee all till done and incorporated and season. Its so good

I watched the full video first of this recipe and will be using it to roast Brussels sprouts for tonight’s dinner. I don’t know much about blanching vegetables, which took me on another YouTube search, so I’m glad you explained that process more in this Short! Thank you very much!

One more step is to get the pan up to temp before putting the sprouts on it. Start that sear.
