RECIPE:
4 quarts of water with 1 1/2 tbsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/3 cup olive oil
2 1/4 lbs Brussel sprouts

I love brussels but have never blanched them before roasting. I will be trying this technique next time I make them. I learn so much from this channel, including how to abuse appliances.

I have roasted brussell sprouts multiple times. This hack of blanching in salted water is brilliant. Best sprouts I ever had.

Btw - you can do something very similar with sweet potatoes

Chop them up into chunks, oil + salt + pepper + rosemary, roast em in the oven. Amazing.
