0:42 When Salazar says "nothing could stop the silent marry" and you see 60 cannons firing its just a dope man o war moment !!

You could just see it in Salazar’s face after he looked at Jack strolling on the deck. He was in disbelief that a pirate the very people he hated had outsmarted him and tricked him and his crew into sailing to their demise

Salazar was the only person in the franchise who did what he was supposed to do. I'm guessing him not showing mercy is supposed to make him seem evil but remember, he's a professional naval officer. He has a mandate from his country and monarchy to purge the oceans of pirates. Unless he and his crew were rogue. Salazar's the only "villain" who did nothing wrong. The only people more true to their intentions to carry out what they think is right were the other Spaniards we see in the franchise. They were probably on the screen for a few minutes but it was clear they don't fuck around. They wanted the mcguffin, they got the mcguffin, they peaced out.

I love this scene, Captain Salazar, an established admiral for the Spanish navy out witted and out maneuvered by Jack Sparrow, a young pirate.

The cgi on Johnny depp to make him young is insane

Never saw him as a villain atoll ..
Just a very tragic character with a tragic crew.

Obviously this is just a movie and a DISNEY Movie but

In the End of the day

Even though in the movies we see the pirates portrayed as the good guys “majority of the time”

Pirates in real life in the real world were very bad people, thieves, criminals etc ..

It’s PIRACY

The part where the pirates are begging for mercy and Captain Salazar says 1:26 “Mercy? There is No Mercy”

Probs ONE of the few most human lines in the entire Pirates of the Caribbean franchise “on my opinion”.

I guarantee it if it was the other way round the pirates would have done far far worse to them. Pirates in the real world were scumbags.

It’s why I really like Captain Salazar ..
Honestly a very good well written character .. wish they didn’t kill him off and the crew.

tbh this is probably the first time captain barbossa has ever been afraid of someone such as salazar which makes sense because it's a curse of the "dead" well atleast that's what I like to call it. not to mention the past story of salazar in the movie

Imagine the silent Mary vs the Dutchman Salazar vs Davy Jones

Feel more bad for his men. The mercy part clearly showed they were not as cold as him, they got cursed by his wrath then all die again when they are freed

I kinda wish the other films showed flashbacks like this one

Like Barbossa leading the mutiny against Jack Sparrow then finding the cursed Aztec Gold 🪙💀
⬇️
Davy Jones Putting his ❤️ in the Chest then becoming a Corrupted monster 🐙
⬇️
Davy Jones showing the first brethren court how to bind Calypso in her 🦴 🦴
⬇️
And even the prophecy 🥠 showing Blackbeards death in the hands of a one legged man

Am I supposed to hate the guy who was sinking the ships of the murdering, raping, marauding pirates? It was literally why the naval forces of Europe were there to begin with; to protect their merchant trading vessels and routes from being intercepted and ransacked by pirates.

Man, Spanish Galleons were huge. No wonder they reached the Philippines and Japan.

This is literally me on Sid Meier's Pirates. I pick a side and literally wage war for that side, and attempt to also exterminate all pirates from the game.

Salazar giving orders is very similar like a basketball/ football coach encouraging his team lol
