The company i worked for offered a lot of people that were laid off to pay for COBRA Vs giving severance payment. So many regretted it. We did work for a health insurance company. Id say always take the pay.

Do you know if in Florida can an employer force an individual to take an hour lunch if the individual in question is hourly/part time just because the employer set up the schedule to run for nine hours? When they originally set up schedule they said the employees were intended to clock out for 30 minutes for lunch and alternate lunch times among employees? Overtime is discouraged.

In germany we say as a rule of thumb, 1 month of pay for every year at least.

Ryan, please help! I was just let go and offered 4 weeks after 6 months. However, I put tons of wear and tear on my 8k laptop. They promised to get me one but never did. My colleagues received one or were paid to buy one. We all work remotely. Also promised a yearly bonus on my offer letter but that's obviously not happening. Accept or negotiate the severance?
