Almost 10yrs at corporate america, woke up two weeks ago and decided the stress is not worth it. Gave notice, last day tomorrow. Giving up a great paying job, but getting my health / mind / family back will be worth it!

The pandemic and shutdowns have given hard working people time to re-evaluate their life and they realize their employers are not paying them what they’re actually worth. Low wages, stress, health risk(COVID), long hours and horrendous commutes are just not good. So people are fed up and quitting for better paying jobs, working remotely, changing their career or starting their own business. I appreciate all of you. Please stay safe everyone.

Funny how when there’s a General Labor Strike employers suddenly find the cash to increase wages and benefits! Blaming labor shortages on an extra $300.00 bucks a week in unemployment benefits is laughable and doesn’t do anything to address the underlying causes of the problem. Sky high child care costs and shitty wages weigh into this equation heavily.

I think the same thing is starting to happen here in the UK too. It's like an awakening of people beginning to realise there is more to life than work and more ways to earn money these days. We take a wage as a bribe to forget our dreams - well no more!

Why do I want to get up early to get ready for work, driver there to log into another computer when I can get up walk over to the one I have at home to do my job.

Prices have already gone up from the shortages and pricing, but if these companies are charging more they sure aren't paying any more in wages. We become poorer and poorer by default. I swear not only should there be a federal minimum wage hike, it need to be tied to inflation or a percentage of profits somehow, since we know productivity has gone up but wages haven't.

I don’t want to spoil my body my health my emotions for someone cheaper job.
God created me free and it’s my right to be feel freedom happy anywhere I want to do work or not.

Very true, employers want you to be loyal but they fire you right before you can reap the benefits of you loyalty. Its a one way street.

My productivity increased when we were forced to work from home. Why would I return to my office and waste up to 2 hours every day commuting? Many of my coworkers said if they will quit if they are forced to return to the workplace.
