Record number of Americans quit jobs in November

Some 4.5 million Americans quit their jobs in November despite the Labor Department also reporting 10.6 million job openings that month.

Come on... Are they really surprised? When you can't get a decent living wage and it cost you more to go to work than to stay home and in most cases cost you more to go to work if you have to pay for daycare give me a freaking break I hope they all quit their jobs

These jobs have to increase safety and increase the pay wages so people can have an livable income and not be in the poverty gap. If I can make more money delivering food than working in a warehouse, guess which job I'm taking

It is great people are starting to take the advice given to them by most corporations "if you think the pay is too low and it is a toxic environment then find a better job". The Shaw's near me has signs up "We will pay $12-13 an hour!!!!" They think that is such good pay they put exclamation points on the end.

And yet the economy remains strong. What does that tell you?

People have quit their crappy jobs and found better ways to continue to work, and thus, pay into the economy. That's what that tells me.

There's something fishy about all these unemployment statistics and employed statistics and people dropping out of the workforce... For one, anyone that has common sense knows all these numbers as of late are not making any sense.

Because these jobs don't pay... I'm with a great startup and I'm seeing growth so I'm starting but I applied to many jobs declined numerous interviews only interviewed for my current company got denied twice then hired.

Stop giving EDD and money away. Those on EDD😇 must show proof of continuously looking for employment or actively looking for jobs and if given EDD only sufficient amount are allotted and to an extent of time.
