Quit robbing the working class of dignified wages.
The federal minimum wage in the U.S. has remained glued at $7.25 an hour for the last 12 years, the longest stretch without a boost since it was first adopted in 1938. Yet there's another revealing figure that underscores how the minimum wage — created by Congress after the Great Depression as a way to ensure that Americans were fairly paid for their labor — has failed to keep up with the times.

Even as workers have been more industrious — helping drive corporate profits, the stock market and CEO compensation to record heights — their pay has flatlined, or even declined when factoring in inflation. If the minimum wage had kept pace with gains in the economy's productivity over the last 50 years, it would be nearly $26 an hour today, or more than $50, 000 a year in annual income, one economist notes.

This is the SARS-CoV-2 silver lining: forcing employers to pay fair wages and benefits.

I know so many people who are quitting their jobs for these reasons: 1) can’t survive on minimum wage when living in America is not really affordable these days. You’ll see new apartments that are being built that aren’t affordable and only affordable FOR THE RICH AND PRIVILEGE! We need to raise the minimum wage and stop raising prices! 2) NO ONE LIKES WORKING AND ARE BETTER OFF LIVING A MORE FREEING LIFE WHEN UR LIVING OFF THE RADAR! 3) The government doesn’t care about our health and only care about keeping the working class TO KEEP WORKING WHEN PEOPLE ARE DEALING WITH THEIR HEALTH… Just look up and open your eyes. It’s only going to get worse if the government doesn’t do anything (like always)

Awesome sauce. What is behind the numbers is pay people what they are worth.

Let's all quit our jobs. What's the point of working anyways? 90% of your paycheck goes to Uncle Sam. You earn basically nothing. Our country is going further down the Toilet.

Go figure. Americans are quitting on capitalism, because now they have other opportunities such as; podcast, uber, Doordash, handyman work and etc...

People are getting tired of working so many hours and get pay peunats and if you work less than 40 hours you won't get insurance, in Europe they work 6 hours a day and is more than enough for companies to stay in business, we get pay by the hour in Europe they get pay salary and insurance.

Essential workers aren't getting essential pay. They should all walk out. Same day same time.

In large cities with high rise office buildings, putting in a child care center for employees could be an idea that works. Each of the business offices in that building could help pay for the childcare, so their parents could work and even see their kids at lunch time. Maybe a similar idea could work with clusters of businesses that are close to each other in smaller communities.
