Exactly, big company's forget who makes them rich lol. For far to long big company's have taken advantage of their workers, people don't want to work just for slave wages or company's that don't see the value in their workers. Don't take your workers for granted. I drove by McDonald's the other day and McDonald's has posted through the drive thru $16 dollars an hour for just a crew member a few months back it was $15, before the pandimic minimum wage in California $8.25, very sad.

During the lockdown people found out a lot about new markets and new technologies that can enable them to make a living in new ways.

In the 1980's corporations abdicated any sense of social responsibility to their employees and their communities. This is the result. the days of Eat, Sleep, Work are over. People are tired of being treated like serfs.

I also left my banking job during pandemic, way too late in my opinion, but it was when I was ready.. I was so frustrated of doing all the work and taking all the responsibilities and yet my useless manager and unqualified AVP and VPs and all executive above me get big fat bonus check at the end of each year.. f**k them! The funny part is that they didn't even give a little effort to keep me! So I am not sure why the corporates are complaining about shortage when they don't even try to negotiate with employees to keep them..we are just some $ signs for them and when we leave all they think about is the salary they're saving! Hypocrites..

Yup if all employers offer is poor wages, poor benefits and few holidays then why work at those jobs? Our lives and time is important to us and we can find other ways to survive than be a slave for someone else to make bags of money.

Interesting how the industries with the biggest labor shortages (like retail, hospitality, healthcare and others) also tend to have the strictest vax mandates.
Almost like there’s a correlation in there.
