sometimes put your airtools battery tools away that was a job for a ratchet where you can feel whats about to happen

I'm so glad you completely stripped it with that battery ratchet so that you could pull out your fancy pliers and show them off

Knipex makes fantastic pliers. A friend had their Channel locks in the plumbing shop I worked at and the teeth on their jaws are so sharp and hard that they grip where no other pliers will. I'm retired but I have their 16" and 12" channel locks. Awesome!

Look at your Torx bits. The ends are usually a little bit rounded. I ground mine flat. They sit a little deeper, and they also have a sharper edge for a better bite.

ADDITIONAL: I did this because I had two bolts in my van that had a very shallow head and 💩 load locktite. The bit kept jumping out and chewing up the head. They were too shallow for vicegrips or slip joints. So tight that I used my 1/2 inch ratchet. After they were out, they were replaced with regular hex bolts.

Yo grab some MAC RBRTs, those things are great, they work amazing for stripped heads. Theyre "extractors".

Ahh yet again Galvanic corrosion wins the battle but not the war

I've got a 6" ridgid wrench that was gifted for Christmas as a Keychain accessory. I keep it in the trucks glove box. Perfect tool. Those knipex pliers i use solely for kindorf straps (strut clamps)

these twin grips are amazing! when it's time you bust them out the toolbox, you know they're a lifesaver

At first it stripped out. Then I got this more powerful tool and made sure it was stripped out.

The real take away: don't own an Audi that's out of warranty.

Using the right tool the first time around generally makes a difference. Proper driver and a box end wrench would’ve removed that without stripping

You can start by not using an impact on thoose screws so you can feel when they are about to cam out or snap

A little bit of heat works too!
No need to be aggressive with the power
tools. A die grinder also can notch the screw head n use a long screwdriver with the square shank where you can use a crescent wrench on it. You get the picture.
Don't need no stinkin' fancy Knippex pliers...
