Mini EDC Knipex Pliers Wrench XS vs Knipex Twin Grip

There is a better Knipex EDC tool, a lot of people recommend the little 4" Knipex Cobra and shown here, the Knipex XS Pliers Wrench. In my world, these tools are too small and don't create enough practical mechanical advantages for me to recommend them as and every day carry tool. On the other hand, the Knipex TwinGrip pliers are extremely versatile and offer the user many options making them a much better EDC tool even though they are larger (they're also largely more useful). I use the TwinGrips every single day, I've yet to use the little 4" pliers once.

I like rocking their 5-inch mini pliers wrench in my pocket. They go up to 7/8”, which works great. I’d want to start grabbing from a tool box for anything larger anyhow.

Love the twin grips. Use them daily. Works great on hose clamps. But the little fellers have there place too.

I remove stripped fasteners with my slip joints. Also knipex is comkng put with three sizes of those slip joints

The only reason I don't own a pair of twin grips is because my 10" cobras work so damn well and don't know if I would use them.

Gotta disagree with you here. Yeah, they're borderline novelty but they're extremely capable for a lot of small to medium jobs. Anything bigger, you really wouldn't be doing randomly without a toolkit.
