And it's parallel jaw action is utterly game-changing for large delicate nuts and glands -- as a sparky the thinner jaw (compared with other brands) and //el action is perfect for cable glands in the tight space on a DB bottom gland plate.
The engraved size guide for pre-setting is simply an obvious requirement, missed by other mfrs...

This tool only works well on flat surfaces, but there it works way better than anything else. It's downright addictive. It will do anything from computer studs to wheel nuts. If you want to give a good friend a tool as a birthday present, he will positively love you for this one.

I used to work at a tool store that sold these and I'd get into debates with one of the salesmen about proper pronunciation of "Knipex." We eventually decided to call the supplier to get a definitive answer, after asking several different people at the supplier's office we were given two different pronunciations: nip-ex, and kin-ip-ex. Not even they can agree on the pronunciation.

Knipex is top of the top. Not only because of smart solution and extraordinary ergonomy, but also because of top of the art alloy. This material is undetectable, hardest in such a tools on the market. Sadly all of the products from Knipex are very expensive. BTW, I want to try Klein tools.

A pair of Knipex Cobras will replace all your similar sized crescent wrenches, channel locks, vise-grips and pipe wrenches. All those tools basically were made obsolete by Knipex pliers. Buy a pair of Cobras or the 3 set, try them out, trust me.
