JP looked so proud when Theo made that prison statement

"If you have no directions, you'll take direction from a tyrant."
Someone once said to me when I was growing up that
"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything"

This is GOLD! Saved to a playlist. I feel aimless now, but 18 years ago after a heart-breaking divorce I thought my life was done. I went to a counselor, spent time with a life coach that had me write "perfect life" scenarios. I never believed any of it could happen, but it did. I'm not living in that beautiful cedar home looking over my private pond, but I have a beautiful wife, inside and out, and a comfortable home that has a view of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Jordan NAILS it! Even if you don’t quite reach the goal, the steps are on a beautiful path, with amazing people. Thank You God!!

Wise words. Reminded me of a quote from Seneca “If a man knows not to which port he sails, no wind is favorable.”

I'm actually shocked to see how many other people also feel the same way I do about this.

I'm aimless in a sense, and it is scary that my intrinsic motivation seems to be dormant. I'm like a TV on standby, nothing is on and there's nothing to see.

But I also can't help think that technology has something to do with this, because if you think about it. You're always getting a feed of some sort, with suggestions on where you go next. How often do you ever use the search bar to search for anything anymore? You just happen to stumble across videos.

I think this is the same in life, you never directly search or progress towards anything because you're so used to everything being shown to you.

"The reason they're anxious isn't because they don't know which way to go, it's because there are way too many places to go." I instantly thought back to getting lost on the subway in Toronto almost missing the last train back. I'm an anxious person and it's crazy how well that explained how I felt at the time.

This is why people don’t leave a job they hate, or worse, leave a job they hate but then are even worse off because they have no aim. At least in the job you hate there’s tasks to accomplish and things to do.

Admire the way Jordan spends time with people that probably aren’t in his usual circles. Theo, whilst intelligent in his own right, is a vastly different man to Jordan. Respect.

I think one thing about JP that really resonates with people is his encouragement style. You're not just perfect the way you are, (and thus there's nowhere to go), you're good right now, but you can be even better, and he tells how how you can actually start to make that happen in the real world.

So much wonderful wisdom in this short segment. My favorite was "You're either going to be responsible for yourself, or you're going to be responsible to a tyrant" - that one hit me hard.

Im 49 and newly divorced. No dogs, no house, no spouse. Ive felt completely lost and aimless so this hits home. Throughout my life when Im lost and need some type of focus I end up at the gym and things seem to work out somehow. I just went back to the gym 2 weeks ago and its already making a difference.

In my best Norm Macdonald voice: When I feel aimless, I buy more guns

This really answers a lot and delves into the true underlying factor that is predetermined for what people do not understand from it.
This is so well examined and spoken out to the audience.
I really enjoyed and appreciated the insightful knowledge given here in this video. Thanks for this

These two gentlemen are intelligent as hell in their own ways. What a pleasure it is to listen to them.

These are the topics we need from JP not the polarizing social media type of stuff. He's gold when he's on self improvement topics.

I don’t want you to take this as something small: I’m grateful that this video actually delivers what the cover says it will. That’s useful, that’s helpful. You did it right!
