Verbal and physical defense should be taught from the time you're old enough to walk & talk to the day you lay on your deathbed awaiting eternal slumber... one of my biggest mistakes/regrets is not familiarizing myself with these two things.

My sister is deaf and when I was in 5th grade, she was in 3rd grade and everyday in recess she would get bullied by a group of boys and would push her around and one day, one of the boys snatched her hearing aid from her ear and threw it outside the school over the fence and she was really sad, but luckily I saw all of that and confronted them, I made them climb over the fence and get it. It was funny though because they were so scared of me😂😂. And for the rest of the week, I kept my eye on them but they never bullied her again.

'You must be really hurting inside to attack a complete stranger. I think you need a therapist or a friend willing to listen to you.' We humans need a lot of affirmation in our 20's. Lashing out is a sign that there is something very wrong in their lives.

There's a difference between verbal defense, and demeaning the other person. As soon as you insult them you've stopped to their level and are no better than they are..

lol when my classmates starts to bully me im always looking down and start to panic.
next time i will try it c: wish me luck
Edit: ok so after 1 year I almost fully regained my confidence, I know how to stand up for myself, and bullies treat me with kind of more respect ( tho they still shit-talking me behind my back, but who cares? They're scumbags anyway ).

Insightful video schools should teach kids how to defend yourself verbally and physically
If you have strong body language and tone of voice most bullies will pull back

I am 37 years old guy who is a programmer for 15 years. I started a new project with different team which is insteresting. There is a guys who verbally attacked me several times, and last time was today.
He denounced me when ever he could and he behaves, like I started programming in 2-3 months. And Always he laughs at me when I talk at standup meeting every day.
For example: Me: Yesterday I have done some improvements to make the face recognition function reliable. And then he started to laugh and he said, Peyman, we don't need your improvments, Please just less bugs in the application. I am new in the team and I have done 3 projects for the new company and I haven't got any report of bugs yet. Mentally I feel tired extremely ... I didn't experienced such a situation before in last 15 years. But I don't know what I have to do with this guy. Some friends asked me to talk with my direct manager. But I am not sure if it helps.
Please if everyone reads this comment, give me some advice to how to deal with this kind of people.
Thanks.

If someone allows themselves to bully others, the best method is to make them clearly aware of their crossing a boundary. Compassion for their obvious pain is a much more effective method that is often avoided by men as being "weak." My response? "I'm very sorry that the small zit on my face bothers you so much. Is there anything I can do to help you feel better about it?"

The best way to beat them us to "kill them with kindness". That's very simple but hurts the most dangerously for the bullies.
