As some who lost her mom 2 months ago very suddenly due to a car accident, something that I keep to mind are words that a pastor told me, “Death is not the greatest tragedy”. When your world is forever changed in a way you didn’t expect so very suddenly, God is the only One you can cling to. And He, in all His faithfulness, gave me strength and comfort. I know for a fact that if it hadn’t been for Him, I would’ve been way worse for wear. At least I can have comfort in the fact that I, and the rest of my family will meet my mom again one day in heaven.

Once I was walking with Jesus in a vision. I asked Him why He allowed certain suffering in my life, including my ex taking my four precious children away from me. He answered, “To form My character in you”, and He kissed my forehead. That was all the answer I needed. I have interceded for hundreds and thousands of souls in the past excruciating seven years, than I would have if I never lost my children. BUT God is still going to fight for me and give them back to me!!! I will never lose hope, never stop believing.

I love your videos when it comes to Christian and not Christian content because you often have a nice balance of comedy and truth that really gets you thinking through the laughs. Keep it up.

Woah, I was expecting a punchline and for you to make fun of Christianity. I’ve just seen your sketches before didn’t realise you were a Christian. So cool!☺️.

You’re right, most ppl in the West know the basic gospel but feel they can’t believe because of this topic. Thank you for making this video. You managed to hold that tricky balance of being very sensitive to people’s pain and honest that you (like all of us) don’t fully know at the end of the day and can’t tie up everything with a bow- and still explain your observances of how God can still be good in a world of pain.

I agree with you. I once attended a small church where there was a boy who couldn’t walk and also had a strong cognitive disability. Yet the whole church doted on him (pastor included) and showed him so much love, I don’t think he would know why people pitied him. If only we always treated people like him like that.
With our culture that prioritises individualism, autonomy and comfort above all things, I think the pain of others helps us to care for others way more than we would have otherwise. It reminds us that we ultimately can never find fulfilment in chasing pleasure, comfort and whatever we feel like because we were made to love God and others

Thank you for saying, “I don’t know.”
We don’t.

Damn! I didn't expect this at all
I was expecting something incredibly wacky, but what I found was something deeply profound.
I actually have thought about these things before now, and I'm incredibly grateful to have come across it in this form.
God bless you, brother and everyone else watching. God is good!

Cancer has been more painful than I could have imagined, but by God's grace, I will shine his light to everyone I can.

Yup---my 3 y.o. nephew died of cancer about a year ago, and I saw God's grace poured out on the family like never before. One day, we thought the kid was gonna die any moment and went over to say goodbye. After I stepped out of the hedroom where he lay in his mother's arms squalling in pain, I started crying. My nephew's father took me in *his* arms and comforted *me* while *his* son laying dying in agony just across the threshhold. That's the grace of God poured out, brothers and sisters! God uses evil for good and is made strong thru our weakness! He teaches us what is valuable by stripping away what we thought we needed and causing us to rely on him alone. (Kinda reminds me of lembas bread, although obviously God is greater than fictional bread.)

You cannot have good without evil, just as you cannot have light without shadow.

The hell we experience is most often our own reactions to circumstances that don't go our way. Not always, but in my 76 years on this rocky ball we call Earth, I've noticed this. Most of the misery I've endured has been of my own mistaken perceptions. True, there have been genuinely terrible events. But, most of the darkness has been of my own doing, fearing terrible outcomes when in reality they never came. If I could edit that out, my life would have been 75% better.

1:02, Oddly enough, this same debate isn’t just applied to God not preventing bad things from happening, but also in other topics like government, parenthood and even entertainment regarding characters like superheroes (such as Superman).

And in all of these is the question of how much should someone with power use it before it becomes considered controlling and how much should they refrain from using it before it considered neglectful.

Even though people don’t wield divine power and they may never be able to comprehend the burden of responsibility that kind of power implies, people can still be faced with that same kinds of questions, the same decisions on wether to do or not do something and weighing the consequences of that action or inaction, yet at the same time, people will blame those with power for whatever decision they make while sometimes not recognizing the affects of their own, retreating into their own egos in response to pain rather than realizing their struggles are not always too disimilar from the very people they blame.

Taking religion or politics out of the equation, humility in any context is necessary for true wisdom, accepting their are things beyond our control that we just have to live with and being able to let go and move on from fearing and hating those things and the pain they cause, living whatever’s left of the life you have doing whatever’s right be you or those you value. And the end of it all, it’s all anyone can really do.

My beloved mother died of stomach cancer in 2021, after months of suffering.
Despite being covid-19 negative, I was not even able to get near and hug her prior to her passing, due to the measures set by the lockdowns. She was a staunch and prayerful Catholic, and a pillar of moral fortitude and of effaced strength, for all of us her children and her grandchildren.
Grieving, looking her emaciated tiny body, I questioned God 'Why?' With the grief came the realization that I simply have to "Be still and know that God is God."

That answer is enough for me.

My mother was recently diagnosed with cancer and has also been dealing with heart failure, it has given me more faith in God. i do hug my mom tighter, my prayers are more honest and really pray without ceasing. God is good and this is when the faith that we talk about in Him is when is needed. His grace is enough for me and everything else is awesome extra that i will happily accept.

Amen! God is good not because he gives me a life without troubles; He is good because he gives me peace and strength in the midst of my troubles.

Amen. Through trials and tribulations we can overcome and build a stronger relationship with god. Also, man made many illnesses due to their sinful ways. Devil destroys and god builds

Ok, because he doesn't know i will try to explain. In John 9 we can see that Jesus was asked a question about a blind man the question being "who sinned, him or his father". And Jesus said "neither, but through his good works he can show people the love of God" so people may get cancer, but they get it so that they may be an example of love, even though it may not seem like it at first... now I could share my personal experience but I don't want you guys reading an essay so I hope this clears up some questions!
