Catholic here. From my understanding, we veil because we are vessels of life. Only 4 things are veiled in the Church, the Tabernacle, the chalice, the altar and women.
It is an honor to be a vessel of life.

I'm a Christian from India. We women cover our head while praying. That was a tradition of early Christians while nowadays western Christians are not following it. I personally believe by wearing a veil you are showing respect to God.

I am Russian orthodox and all of our female parishioners wear a head covering to Divine Liturgy I personally haven’t ever because I am a male but I love how the Orthodox Church keeps the tradition of the Christian faith and we don’t change anything really the liturgy we worship today is the same that they used thousands of years ago thanks for sharing and god bless 🙏🏻☦️
