When I watched the movies, I initially considered the empire to be evil and the rebels to be good, this meaning was on the surface. But, after several years of fascination with history, politics +, a real mess began in the world. I began to understand how our world works, in a world where the strongest information war is being waged, and I realized that a sane person would look at this or that situation from two sides. And I personally like the empire/first Order better now, yes - they did dirty things, but that's the policy, we don't know all the actions of the rebels, but the first order/empire tried to make the world more predictable, bring stability to the world.
