The time Anakin finally realized that Padme always loved him, because she was still willing to give birth to his son into the world, Obi-Wan and Yoda were truly sorry that they could not save him from the dark side, because they prepared his son well, and that Obi-Wan always saw him as a brother for he watched over his son, and that Ahsoka, the one who he considered close to a daughter, never truly gave up on him.

When the music at 0:33 starts to rise, I can’t help but get the chills everywhere. Anakin’s whole journey comes full circle. From being a heroic Jedi knight, to a fallen monster, then to a path to redemption.

This is an absolute masterpiece, especially at 0:33 onward. This is exactly why the sequels are BS because they completely invalidate everything Anakin did to redeem himself in the end. Star Wars is the story of the rise, fall, and redemption of a man due to love for his wife and son.

I imagine this is what was actually going through his head as he watched Palpatine attack Luke. Vader was likely recalling everything he ever lost; his home, Qui-gon, Shmi, Ahsoka, the Jedi Order, Padme, his children, Obi-Wan, his limbs, his freedom, everything. And he knew that everything he lost was connected in some way to Palpatine. For even the most misguided man, I imagine all of that would be enough to make him realize "No, enough is enough! No more! I'm not losing anything I care about ever again!"
